PINNED POST: AN INTRODUCTION TO MEICTIR

Meictir is a wild west themed country within Ulina that's run entirely by a race of mechs called "Meicans" (who are all girls). The country rests under the watchful eye of Bell and The Curator, it's isolated leaders. Keeping the people in line is their personal lackey, Junior - the sheriff of the capital. Accompanied by Sylvia, her trusted companion and steed, she maintains justice within Meictir.

INFORMATION DOC:

SHERIFFS

Meictir's law and order relies on the presence of large sheriff teams that congregate in the cores of all 6 provinces. In those teams, there are a head and deputy sheriff selected who travel throughout the continent and do more serious work than the regulars who would deal with occasional outlaws. Amongst these lead sheriffs is Junior, the 'head honcho' of the protective force and general face of Meictir.

COSTAIS

The heart of Meictir. Contains Coparplat, the densely populated capital. Costais advertises prosperity and safety to those looking to move. While many citizens are delegated to living in unsafe shantytowns, the sheriff team of Costais is unmatched, and is helmed by none other than Junior - Meictir’s poster girl.

UISCEATH

Home to a large portion of Meictir's Meinmhi population. Uisceath, while neglected by the government, has been making notable strides in advancements for Meictir's water access - something that has always been a weakness for them. Uisceath is home to the dynamic duo of Scout and Darling - two very eccentric sheriffs.

EACHALAMH

Neighbouring Equus, Eachalamh has a notable Equin presence and is a mixing pot of Meican and Equin culture. It's biggest city, Capeas, is one of the only places in Meictir that has a majority Equin population. The culture is reflected in it's sheriffs, who may (to a maybe offensive degree) represent the people in their own ways.

TIRAOSC

The core of Meictir's minute agriculture industry, it engages in a lot of trade between neighbouring countries and provinces. It's the only source of food for non-Meicans living in Meictir, so it's law enforcement is very strict. It's for this reason that it's sheriff team are very specialised in what they do, instead of the jack of all trades approach commonly seen elsewhere.

TURBH

Meictir's industry core is heavily polluted to the point where non-Meicans are considered to be at threat if they spend prolonged amounts of time close to the economic center of the province. It's very technologically advanced compared to the rest of the country, and its existence is a point of contention between environmental activists.

FHATHSEAMH

Due to it's status as the home to a large majority of the Meicfian population, it's most well known for its annual market that sets up following the nomadic Meicfian families that make up a large amount of the ethnic group returning to the mountainous region. It's sheriffs are a very unconventional duo, but are arguably one of Meictir's most deadly.

Meican Architecture

(Pictured is Coparplat, The Northern Camp, Airgnoc and Capeas.)

Meictir has a large diversity in it's architecture due to the drastically varying proportions of it's people. Each city that is dominated by a specific kind of Meican have a very specific look to them as a result - with the lines becoming blurred in areas that are varied in groups. Duineic Architecture

Intricately detailed upper class homes are a distinct feature of Duineic civilisations. They commonly live with multiple other Duineic, so their houses are bigger and wider than that of a Meinmhi home. They're very fond of porches. Meinmhi Architecture

Meinmhi homes either have swinging doors or no doors at all. They're compact, and upper class homes tend to stretch upward instead of expanding outward like Duineic homes. Personal belongings are either kept few or are secured away at night - though richer Meinmhi simply hire mercenaries to protect their homes. Meicfian Architecture

Due to their nomadic nature, Meicfian tend to live in tents. Using their large size to their advantage, they keep their belongings up high out of reach of thieves, and keep their tents small enough that they only function as bedrooms. The Northern Camp sees thousands of these tents set up each year as travelling Meicfian set up shop for a month to indulge in an annual, traditional marketplace.

THE MEICAN BROTHERHOOD OF LIR

Commonly known as the MBL, the Meican Brotherhood of Lir is an paramilitary outlaw group that has been growing in size rapidly within Meictir. They demand a serious government reform - citing the historical ignorance toward the Meinmhi and government's neglect of towns far away from larger settlements as some of the many reasons for their beliefs.

Leading the group is Aria and Ocellus - two Meicans with opposing opinions on how to pursue the reform.

The official leader of the MBL, Aria. She strongly believes that a peaceful apporach will get the organisation nowhere, but will not act against the wishes of the many.

Ocellus is seen as the 'face' of the MBL, as she appears in public the most frequently. As a scholar, she excels at speeches and is thus regarded as the main advocate of the movement.

MEICAN DIVISIONS

"Duineic" (Bipedal Meicans)

Located around the capital, Duineic are the most common and usually most affluent Meicans.

While there are no shortage of Duineic living in poverty, a decent proportion of them live comfortably at minimum. Majority of the region's architecture is designed with them in mind, leaving Meinmhi (Quadruped Meicans) and Meicfian (Larger Meicans) ostracized from the capital.

"Meinmhi" (Quadruped Meicans)

A large amount of Meinmhi live around the center of Meictir, though there is a great number of them scattered throughout the country. They make up most of the population of Airgnoc, one of Meictir's most densely populated cities.

A large percentage of Meinmhi live in poverty, with some turning to outlaw gangs or a life of travel to get by. Airgnoc is the only main city in Meictir that is designed more for their proportions rather than the Duineic.

"Meicfian" (Large Meicans)

The Meicfian, due to their large size, have taken to a life of constant travel to get by. In the past, they tried to settle in towns alongside the Duineic and Meinmhi, but the neglect faced from the government caused them to take up temporary camps instead.

The Northern Camp is the most popular amongst the Meicfian, and they stay there for around 2-3 months each year. While most Meicfian travel, some have decided to take up permanent residence in the Northern Camp, as well as all throughout Meictir.

(MEICTIR: HIGHER UPS BRIEF)

(could maybe change im still working things out :P...)

While Meictir's surface is bright and colorful, it's leader dwells in a lonely concrete chasm deep within the capital, Copperplate. Those working within the bustling industries found within the region have no idea of the goliath that is watching their every move - eyes hidden away where you will never find them.

The supercomputer that manages Meictir's intricacies and monitors the people goes by BELL - a name she chose for herself a very long time ago. She pulls the strings to make sure her region remains stagnant in time - a perfect recreation of the Old West, neverchanging.

Assisting her is The Curator, her retainer and only friend who has been maintaining her health and aiding in data organization since the beginning of their shared existence. Unable to leave the chasm either, The Curator's only outside interaction is her subordinate and lesser model, Junior (who The Curator coldly refers to only by her serial code, J2-BETA.)

Junior is ultimately the face of Meictir and is the one who interfaces with other regions. She has a strong sense of justice - stemming from her employment as head sheriff in Copperplate. She, alongside a small group of other sheriffs, maintain the peace in Copperplate to the best of their abilities. She has never strayed from this path, and has been working for as long as she can remember.
