look at me (pt 3)

I know this is going to make me sound pretensions but I have to get it off my chest. I feel an unimaginable rage when someone posts a photo and is like "this picture looks like a renaissance painting lol" when the photo clearly has the lighting, colors and composition of a baroque or romantic painting. There are differences in these styles and those differences are important and labeling every "classical" looking painting as renaissance is annoying and upsetting to me. And anytime I come across one of those posts I have to put down my phone and go take a walk because they make me so mad

In case you're curious here's what I mean.

Renaissance(distinct lines, stability and the individual man):

Baroque (bold, chaotic, dramatic):

Romantic(romanticize the simple hard working life):

Do you see the difference?

I've gone through a lot of labels and my personal philosophy that developed from that is to pick the labels that make you happy. You don't have to logic out how something applies to you to accept that label for yourself. If it makes you happy to call yourself nonbinary and it makes you happy to call yourself a lesbian, be a nonbinary lesbian!! It's up to you if you want there to be a logic or reasoning behind it or if those are simply the terms you prefer!!

And if people want to go the hard finnicky road about definitions and specifics, ime most nonbinary people describe themselves and their gender differently. It's really up to the individual's experience how well they fit (a word used loosely) into the labels they use!

I finally finished my summer drawing! Im really proud of this one, it took me an unholy amount of time to complete, especially going lineless. I did lineless only once with my Froth drawing, which got good feedback? So yeah. Take this :)

All these stories of players being hacked simply because they mentioned saving up a lot of gems. But someone who is sketchy as fuck and likely a cheater or at the very least mega-harasser… is totally fine? Someone mind fixing that lol (jk) Really though, I have no faith in that raffle. It’s easy to fake and boy are they getting away with it. So glad I did not participate. I’d urge others to stay away from these things that seem too good to be true.
