Breaking My Silence.....
I'm finishing up this communications course that was honestly fucking insane. It required posting on a social media platform. I wanted to use Tumblr because I wanted to continue posting art yk... Anyways I wasn't allowed to and I had to become a "thought leader" and publish chatgpt slop articles and make "branded content" despite having no following and no relationships with a brand.
Like it was an elective and by the time I realized that the class was a complete waste of time it was too late to drop it.
That class had such a freak energy and nobody was feeling it lol. Prof. would play his sponsored tictoks on the projector while we would be silently working. Also would talk about r/wallstreetbets and crypto. He would assign us specific posts to make and he'd be like "it's easy, just show us what brands you love and the establishments you frequent!" but like everyone is broke so like they don't go out and consume things for fun. Like nobody had brand loyalty or shopped at small businesses lmao.
I mean Prof. is making money from selling shit he doesn't gaf about so go off king, but never in my live have I been in an environment that was so wrong for me personally. It honestly felt like I that guy from It's a Wonderful Life, but instead of seeing the future where I kms I saw the future where I went down the path of marketing/mass communications.
