All might and present mics n1 fan‼️🗣️
Erasermic🔛🔝

I just wanna make it clear I do not hate aizawa. But because he lowkey treats mic bad it makes me dislike him a bit, and makes me pissed off. anyone who treats my fav character bad I will dislike entirely or a bit (probably more then a bit) idk why. I do ship erasermic tho. this blog mostly focuses on present mic and his angst because we don’t get enough of it and because he barley gets recognised for what he’s been through and I wanna make sure he gets the recognition he deserves. He’s like a shadow behind aizawa and treated like he isn’t important when he is and I hope more people will recognise it. WE LOVE PRESENT MICC (and all might)😘

Mic but with two evil dads.

You can’t tell me someone so emotionally constipated has a good relationship with his parents. Even more so, those parents cannot have taught him it’s okay to have emotions. Whether because he’s a man, or because his quirk makes his emotions too big to handle. Bro embodies signs of being trained into toxic masculinity. Gay people can be toxic, and I love when they are. Equal rights, equal potential to be imperfect. <3

Also, I definitely believe whoever his parents were, whether you agree with me or not, reduced him to his quirk, rather than a child. Sure, they still called out ‘Hizashi’ when they needed something or scolded him, but really, he was just so LOUD. Louder than any child in their families, after all. Louder than they planned for. Louder than they can deal with.

Mic being adopted or fostered doesn’t make sense. He could have been forfeited back to the homes at any time. No, these are biological parents (surrogate mother, for my two evil dads proposal), that put on a face. Hizashi is messed up in the way only a biological parent could do.

Bonus points if his quirk is the exact opposite of one of his fathers.

UGHH YESSS

I talked about this with my mutual a lot, but I really realy hope Present Mic and Midnight are treated better when Vigilantes comes out.

They lost Oboro, and they have shit they deal with. Most angst for Prsent Mic is tied to Aizawa, granted in some cases it makes sense. But I am tired of both of them being treated so poorly in the Fandom.

I want to read fics about Prsent Mic, but most of them write him as a dumb blonde, and a househusband to Aizawa.

It's so annoying

I hope we get more anime only content of mic and midnight when it comes to the vigilantes show because a lot of their manga vigilante content is still heavily linked to and connected to aizawa.

That being said, even with that heavy connection being there, they still do get some characterisation outside of their relationship with aizawa, and I honestly hope that the anime will expand on that.

For example, midnight and present mic actually get to interact. Even with this small interaction, I find it really interesting how yamada states that midnight should only call him by his hero name "present mic" here and my interpretation of this is that yamada heavily separates himself and his hero image and that he ultimately uses his hero image as a sheild to hide and protect himself. This all contrasts to midnight, whose hero image and true self are very similar to one another with her just over exaggerating a lot of her actions in her hero costume.

Bonus

Present mic hanging from the drone type thing so reminds me of him pulling up in a Spiderman pose. My question here is, does his neck not hurt? Like, bro has a whole speaker thing around his neck, and he is hanging upside down that for sure can't be good for you.

Also, even with his interactions with aizawa present mic has agency. I love how we see him question aizawa and his own logic of whatever is rational and how aizawa here seems to be quite the irrational guy even as he tries and somewhat fails to justify his actions.

Midnight's characterisation is an interesting one here, to say the least. From the mangaka's little notes, they deem midnight to be incredibly maternal and motherly, and its why they see her fit to be a teacher. I love this view of her, and I wish we got to see more of that in the main and vigilante manga. Although I will be honest with the views that midnight has, I don't think she should be anywhere near children.

I admit I absolutely adore the outfits she is wearing (outside of Hero Costume, though)

It is true that midnight and present mic aren't focused on, and their connection to oboro isn't as focused on as aizawa's. This also makes me pissed because it seems like even in fans' own interpretation, they seem to downplay present mic and midnight's own experiences while only acknowledging aizawa's. Heck even the Canon manga doesn't focus on present mic and midnight as much as it should.

Present mics character interpretation and character conversations usually surround his relationship with aizawa, which rightfully pisses a lot of people off. The most common interpretations of the present mic I have seen is that he is a caring partner to aizawa or that he is an ignorant blonde who tries his best but is absolutely clueless. These interpretations miss the point of present mic's character and the complex conflict he has with his own self,'yamada' and his hero self 'present mic'. This also downplays his own trauma and how much of an angry person yamada really is or how he uses his quirk in quite an offensive way to rather hide and his quirk can be used in incredibly violent ways.

UGHH MY EXACT THOUGHTS☹️ I fear vigilantes probably won’t do much justice and just focus purely on aizawa’s angst only really.. I know that’s mostly the point but it’s so annoying cuz even Horikoshi ignores them. But I do appreciate the thought horikoshi has put into both characters because they’re both complexed characters and you can tell so much from certain little scenes with them, so horikoshi clearly puts thought into them and what type of characters he wanted them to be but he wasted the potential.

What do you think Hizashi did after Aizawa left after high school?

Well.. here’s a sad headcanon I have:

After graduation and he lost contact with aizawa (l'm aware that isn't canon) he attempted in his 20s by overdosing because his emotions were too much and he felt useless and felt like he had no purpose because he couldn't be by aizawa's side to help him. (Considering his coping mechanism) Nobody knows about this and the only reason he got to hospital is because of his neighbour. After that his neighbour tries to check in with him atleast once a week.

I don't think a lot of Aizawa stans realize or care about how all-take-and-no-give his relationships with Mic and Midnight are.

I read somewhere that Mic and Oboro were friends longer than either of them had known Aizawa, and Aizawa's over here acting like only he lost him. Mic canonically put his own grief on the back burner to be there for Aizawa, and how is he thanked? By constantly being told to shut up and being belittled.

Midnight (maybe?) gave Aizawa the teaching position at UA to help with his grief. Now, she shouldn't have done that, especially since Aizawa had made it clear that he didn't want to teach, but he could have put his foot down and not taken the position! Instead, he makes an ass of himself to everyone around him - his students in particular. In a setting where common sense exists, this would give Midnight a bad look, but you know Aizawa doesn't care about that. He doesn't even seem to care that Midnight DIED, though that's mostly due to her death being purely for shock value 🙄.

Again, in a setting where common sense exists, Mic and Midnight would have called him out on his bullshit a long time ago and probably would have asked themselves, "why are we still friends with this guy?" It's especially upsetting, since he's compared to Kakashi so much. Kakashi has plenty of his own issues, but he's way more of a genuine friend to Guy than Aizawa supposedly is to Mic and Midnight.

Iam not sure if it is canon that present mic and oboro have been friends for a longer time but if it is thats not a good look on aizawa.

From the little we see of the rooftop squads friendship a lot of it does consist of present mic and midnight giving to aizawa than aizawa giving to either of the two.

For example, present mic was there for Eraserhead after the first war arc and present mic was also there for eraser after the usj arc. Midnight did recommend and nudge aizawa into becoming a teacher at UA and in the vigilantes manga it was thanks to her that oboro, mic and aizawa got an internship at a hero agency.

However, this begs the question what does aizawa do for his friends?

Nothing. (Or well canon doesn't show us that he does anything. Do correct me if Iam wrong of course)

Now sure you can definitely point fingers at horikoshi and say that he simply didn't actively include present mic and midnight in his story and that they were mainly there to prop up or almost be tools for aizawa and his development and to that I do agree but it doesn't change the fact that this is the dynamic that canon seems to establish between these characters.

I suppose you're talking about this scene when aizawa interrupts present mic telling him that midnight died and also present mic expressing his grief.

Now I won't deny that this is incredibly rude on aizawas part and that if aizawa were to listen and offer support it would at least show that he does give back to his friends but I suppose horikoshi thought it would be more important to give us "dadzawa". Personally, I do believe that there could of been a balance that we could of indeed received present mic expressing his feelings and aizawa offering support while having them talk and debrief about the entire situation yet we didn't get that.

I have seen the rebuttal that aizawa only did this because he didn't want to hear that midnight died and that he was also burying his emotions but I do suppose that's up to interpretation. My main problem is that midnight's death doesn't get brought up again after this moment between this duo/trio (if they count kurogiri).

In the end even after kurogiri dies due to bakugo it all feels empty and it's not properly talked about between mic and eraser who witnessed this moment.

I think that the kurogiri/oboro reveal really could of shown us more of all the characters sides. It could of shown us then caring and supporting eachother and also seeking comfort in eachother. There were many moments where we could of seen aizawa comfort or give to his friends but we don't and I really don't think that's supposed to be intentional writing from horikoshi.

YESSSSSS UGH. I mean aizawa DOES care for his friends but he doesn’t show it. And it’s so annoying, it’s definitely my least fav part of aizawa’s character

It seems to me that Horikoshi just made Aizawa too ‘i-don’t-need-friends’ and ‘I-didn’t-ask-for-your-help’. Like if Horikoshi settled this trait of him not-trusting-people, not-getting-along into a plot drive Horikoshi could create a good side storyline about accepting other’s people care and to learn how to express care for others in return. But in manga and anime he doesn’t show any empathy towards his closest friend — Hizashi. Hizashi is trying but he brushes off the fact that HIS close one can JUST NOT CARE ABOUT HIM. That’s so impossible and so unbelievable to him. Because! The power of friendship. Friends create agencies and fight together. But for Aizawa firsthand it was not the same. He didn’t know how to handle friendship or that he had to give something in return. And if during main story HE LEARNT how to do it his image would be better. But he is just a protective figure for Deku, Shinsou and other students.

YES😭
