Anyways, I made Stephen a Mainecoon cat because they are commonly used as farm cats (and he was born to a farmer family). Additionally I thought that while he was working as a surgeon he would probably shave down his fur a lot (hard to put a hair net on your whole body) so once he has his accident and starts his life as a sorcerer I think he’d get more relaxed about it and keep his breeds more distinctive coat shape and length. (Most of his original colleagues had no clue he was a mainecoon n more assumed he was a bombay if you’d like a visual)
As for Tony, I have to be fully honest here, compared to Stephen’s whole paragraph I just thought itd be fitting to have him as a little pampered show poodle. You know he would have some WILD hair cuts from when he was in college. Originally I did draw him with the more round poodle hair but I thought it’d fit him more if it was cut into harder angles and shapes like his goatee
