They're organic if I understand your question correctly! I had Dick kinda 'wear' it as a metaphor for him being this monster but still being him. But in 'canon' his whole body transforms into the bat beast

I don't know what kinda mods you have been looking at but there are teams of hundreds of people making game sized mods of the other regions in the Elder Scrolls. They literally remade the previous game into the Skyrim engine too.
