Hi! I'm MistyWolf06, or misty-wolf-draws, but you can just call me Misty! I am an aspiring young artist drawing for multiple fandoms and teaching myself new things. I also write fanfiction from time to time and am dipping my toes into animation.

I find it funny that some people are confusing this for a real photo and when I saw it I could tell it was art off the bat
I think the only thing the portal fandom does that is weird is treat Wheatley like he is as stupid as a child.
Or just baby him to a weird degree in general.
This dude is aware and knows things, he is just not the brightest in certain areas. This doesn't mean he's unaware of everything around him.
He recognizes his wrongs, and that he needs to do and be better to fix that. If he was like a kid he wouldn't understand what he did was wrong and think he didn't deserve what happened to him, because in that case he wouldn't have known better.
Another thing I don't like [other fandoms also have this problem] is hating on a ship that has nothing wrong with it.
I personally think all the ships the fandom like wouldn't ever happen in canon. But I sometimes draw em cause it's funny and nice to explore their dynamics in many different ways.
I swear it's either "I hate chelldos" or "I hate chelley" when realistically chell wouldn't like either of the two and just wants to be free. But is it fun to explore their dynamics together in a friend or ship way? Yes.
Anyway, all I got to say is block the tag of the ship you hate or users who draw it. Stop looking at content you dislike! That will make you feel worse. It is so easy to block out certain content and move on.
For whatever reason I had TWO separate commission scammers contact me on two separate accounts in one night. I’ve heard about these incidents on Twitter and Instagram before, but now they’ve seem to have taken to tumblr!!
Common warnings of commission scams to watch out for
-Asking for a commission thats extremely different from your usual art: If the commissioner asks you to draw something that severely strays away from what you usually draw, it’s probably for a reason. Most real commissioners will wanna commission people who make art already similar to what they want to receive. (for example I pretty much exclusively draw Sonic the Hedgehog characters at the moment and had one person ask for a full body, fully rendered photo of a girl in a dress and the other ask for a drawing of a dog for their son— which is a very very common scam request. Not at all like what I draw!!)
-Offering a large sum of money, way greater than what you WOULD have asked for it: A common amount of money to be offered is 200 dollars. If something is too good to be true, it probably is. People wanna get the most bang for their buck. 200 for an artwork of your son’s dog is a LOT. Especially if they follow it with “sorry for low budget.”
-Their profile only has 1 or 2 posts, or no posts at all: Some people will only make reposts, and some people will only make posts, however it’s uncommon for people on this app to have NOTHING to their profile. Reblogging is a major part of this app, most people will have a decent amount. Their profile shouldn’t look new with the default settings and no pfp.
-They’re asking to only pay over echeck OR they’re asking for your PayPal EMAIL ADDRESS: PayPal is a secure way of payment and gets rid of the possibility of being scammed out of thousands of dollars like the common echeck trick they use where they send over too much money and then scam you out of about that same amount. It’s good if they’re asking to use PayPal, however they should be asking for your PayPal USERNAME, not full name and email of the account. You can PayPal (and Venmo) things by username. Email won’t help you.
-Offering to pay before the artwork is completed (not requested by artist or part of any policies) Nobody is THAT eager to give away their money, especially for such an “expensive artwork” that is being commissioned to a teen or young adult that may never finish it!!

The first one tried to contact me on two separate blogs.
To me, it's kind of insane that the whole "Intelligence Dampening Sphere" reveal was kept from us for so long.
Like, you'd think that GLaDOS would weaponize this knowledge sooner. But no, for the first part of the game, She remains surprisingly ignorant of Wheatley, and even once She does acknowledge him, it's very impersonal, compared to the vitriol She expresses afterwards. "Metal ball", really? That's it? As if She really coudn't distinguish him from any other robot in the facility.
...But okay. Seeing how good She is at suppressing traumatic memories, maybe it really took Her that long to remember; maybe there was something specific that needed to be triggered first. Whatever.
But Wheatley? Resident Mr. "Can't Keep A Secret To Save His Life"? You're saying that, after endless complaints about his jobs, he'd never mention his original occupation? That, after bringing up the human who managed to kill GLaDOS, he'd pass up the opportunity to boast about the kind of damage he was able to inflict on Her? That he wouldn't at least vent his frustrations if the whole ordeal was as distressing to him as it was to Her?
And yet he doesn't seem to be unaware of his nature, either. If he didn't know he was made to dampen Her intelligence, then, most likely, he'd just interpret the accusation of such as bluff and dismiss it. Instead, he goes into denial, yes — but barely shows any confusion and never tries to refute. Plus, compare the ensuing meltdown to how he reacts to being called an idiot during the pre-transfer struggle — it's not nearly as caustic.
And then there's... nothing else. No character elaborates on the topic further, as the game swiftly moves on to different mysteries. "Lab Rat" never brings up any specific core during Doug's flashbacks. Nothing in Portal 1 is recontextualized by this knowledge. And, of course, no new supplementary material on the topic was released since.
So far all that's left to do is to touch the scorched ground and wonder what the absolute hell went down between them.

Having your intended purpose be to make people dumber can make anyone feel ashamed to talk about it. I mean, some people IRL may feel ashamed if they make a stupid decision. (I am one of those people)
Wheatley probably didn't want Chell to only see him as an incompetent idiot and not trust him to help her escape. Maybe he even wanted to prove that he was capable of more than what he was made for. Not only to her, but to himself.

I don't have any art for New Year's, so I'm just gonna come onto my platforms and make a statement.
With all the stressful stuff going on around the world, I just want y'all to keep your heads up and try your best to survive another year. There's always gonna be something that'll bring you down, but you can always find something to lift you back up, whether that be loved ones, special interests, or little things you hold close to your heart. Even if it seems like all is lost, just remember that there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.
There's one last speedpaint I've posted before the clock hits twelve. After that, we'll officially be in 2025. I just want you to know that I wish the best for you going forward. And I'll do my best to keep you all entertained when you need me. I'll have new art and potentially some fanfiction coming out soon, maybe some experimental videos as well, so be on the lookout for those.

Fun fact, I started this the night before Sinsmas was posted. When it dropped the next day, I promised myself I wouldn't watch it until I finished the drawing so I'll be watching it by the time this is up.
Octavia is one of my favorite Helluva Boss characters and I only want the best for her. The main reason I made this was because of some opinions I had about Mastermind that I will not share out of fear of starting discourse. But other than that I had fun making this.
Also, to anyone who reads this far, would you want to participate if I made this a DTIYS? It won't be a contest because I'm not good with deadlines, just something fun for HB artists who wanna draw something.
