that same scene but it’s James turning on the radio during the summer post-prank but pre-forgiveness as he gets Remus up to dance a few hours before the full moon. Just a beautiful platonic dance but the intimacy is still deep and loving, James just craving that little crooked smile Remus does right before he laughs and Remus just desperate for a moment of love that doesn’t require Sirius.

(i like soft, lanky remus without a backbone, remus who's firmly cemented as part of the bottom half of the marauders. i like sirius who plays with his feelings at first because he's arrogant and cruel and then grows to need remus' weakness, his comfort. i like sirius who brings out an angry side of remus, who makes him snap. james & pete are like why do you bother him so much?? it's like you're trying to piss him off :/ and like yeah he is because he's used to anger and cant help but try to bring it out bc he's selfsabotaging)
-> frankly i prefer moonchaser to wlfstr infinitely!! i think james being everyone's favorite is a super underrated concept (i talk about moonchaser in this post)
