Oh, I realized how absolutely vague the previous post was and while I will keep that one as like... Clarification for me in the future (since I do try to post art daily, I want to make sure I know that I did purposefully not post). I should elaborate maybe:

I am fine, just very tired! I started art but it's nothing I'll finish tonight and I just needed a day to vibe on my own. Sometimes I take more than a day on a picture/comic and force myself to draw a very small doodle to post but I just don't have the energy today. So instead of doing that, I opted to just not post art today even though I've been drawing.

Threes Company

#my characters#casually adding traits to valdas to make him super pointy#solei is so round and flowy with a circle halo and soft floofy long hair and round ears#then you have mehra being pink and fluffy with a fluffed collar and very much a visual softness#her angular star halo being just about the sharpest thing about her ?? and i love her#but then valdas has pointy ears and a triangle halo and now fangs!#oh and his collar is angular and triangled vs solei with rounder collars and cloaks#valdas and mehra might be super duper side characters#but im fond of them both and how they combine with solei to be the pettiest trio of gods/goddesses#ive only ever designed soleis wings though so i at some point should give wings to the other two

#my characters#deacon getting bullied by all the deities for being a freak of a guy is so funny to me cause yeah he kinda deserves#the title of being a freak of a guy but in his mind he deserves it for the wrong reasons#like surely the deities think hes weird because he can hear the dead - surely THATS what makes him weird to them#no actually thats just a trait you got from your mom and its actually a trait native to the wind city#it just sucks cause you live in the water city and listening to the dead isnt a thing there#then he finds out he cant drown after a water blessing and hes like OH THATS SO WEIRD and all the deities just#no actually what else would you expect from a water blessing lmao#they just think hes weird because he asks a lot of questions that THEY think are weird#like when he asks fulj about foods she likes - she doesnt have to eat why the heck does it matter#but hes just a human thinking thats a normal topic! find out stuff for your friends! even if your friends hate you!#fulj needs to possess people sometimes and she specifically has two followers she does this with#and so deacon finds out and immediately asks her to possess him bc he doesnt know what its like help#she declines so he goes to his boss and asks HIM please possess me its for research PLEASE I JUST WANNA KNOW#deacon is a mess of anxiety at times bc his job is to act as bodyguard to an immortal#and hes clearly inferior to the deity so like hey why is he even there hes so useless#and he has face blindness so when he helps someone out and ymber sees him hes like oh who was that#and deacon very honestly says i have no idea why?#hes just a helpful guy ! he cant remember and identify most people! he listens to the dead! hes just a guy!#fulj bullies him as a plot point and is character development for her and she does grow past malice#but teasing deacon is still REALLY fun so sucks to be him! shes still got him on lock

I love my stupid, sadistic, freak of a demon cleric who is slowly dying by casting holy magic cause he's literally a demon and it hurts him.

#my characters#also bc i always feel like its worth mentioning ? elnae is a massive lesbian and hates nytis#and nytis is incredibly sadistic and one of the things about forming a pact is there is ALWAYS a physical binding#most of the time its a simple piercing (like earring) or a ring#but nytis forms the pact and is humiliated that his pact took the form of a golden choker / collar#and he apologizes for it and he doesnt feel guilty about much of anything EXCEPT collaring a lesbian on accident#nytis also hates pain which means he hates healing others for no reason so if its livable hes like fuck off and deal with it#but he then throws THAT standard out the window if it comes to a kid cause he will immediately heal a child or lift a curse on a kid#the pact binding whatever can only be removed if the pact maker dies or personally destroys the contract#and since nytis will not destroy the contract he tells el that if hes dying its fine and he understands not helping him#they go from genuinely hating each other to tolerating the other to actual admiration!#they become friends oooooooooooooooo

#my characters#he only wears black tshirts with white writing and at first it annoys the other three#but then they realize you can BUY HIM a shirt and he will WEAR IT no questions asked#so they keep going out of their way when they see weird black tees with white text because do they have it#in brodys size they have to know its important ok cool theyre buying it#other shirts ive drawn him in the past that i like were a simple NO#and then a IM AN ASSHOLE shirt but ya......

Keaton and Ida (Famine and Pestilence)

Keaton really likes mobile gacha games and gets heavily invested in leaderboards and will sacrifice Quality Time with the group to stare at his phone (while in person with the group bc participation trophy). Ida likes food and if she wants to meet up with the other horsemen, she needs it somewhere with food. It also helps her be polite if she has food in her mouth so she can't say everything she's thinking.

Basically both of them are like "if I have to be around Delm, I need a comfort" and that comfort is either gacha games or eating/drinking.

#my characters#and thats them your honor thats the four horsemen in a weird modern setting#also the siblings take turns on delm duty before brody shows up to bodyguard#and basically keaton hangs out in quiet areas and bores delm or goes to the park with him to walk around if ida takes his phone#and ida takes delm out shopping and window shopping because when you try on clothes you get away from him#she can only handle small doses of delm some days and so she makes HIM try on clothes so she can get quiet briefly#both however are incredibly fond of their weird lil freak of a guy who gets beaten up which is why they even take turns#they do actually like him and care about him more than just well hes unfortunately one of us#no! they like him! thats their lil weirdo!#and since delm cant use his influence (OF DEATH) but keaton and ida can use their afflictions more leniently#and brody as well can use his influence of war in conversations#delm doesnt have an aura and he can sense the other three but they cant sense him#so when ida takes him shopping she likes to hold his hand so he cant slip away#the three dont sense the others auras AS well but it feels whole to be as a group? but delm very distinctly can act as a compass#if they focus really hard they can KIND OF sense something about the two but not delm#which is why when keaton and delm are together in a park and have their first encounter with brody#brody is pretty miffed at delm (justifiable) but catalogs keaton as a person of interest for a later date#since theres something about him#keaton however is completely unaware of the war aura bc hes too busy TRYING to apologize over delms trash apologies#and doesnt realize anything is different other than delm is way too excited to talk after being told to not talk

Delm (left) is Death and Brody (right) is War. Since they can (along with Pestilence and Famine) inflict whatever status on a person, Delm is terrified of accidentally killing someone pre-apocalypse. And so he's basically a pacifist that can never say the right thing and gets beaten up and refuses to fight back. Brody tries to be his bodyguard of sorts but Delm is slippery and just vanishes and shows up freshly injured with a smile cause "well, I mean I can't /die/, dude. what's the problem?"

#my characters#i really like the four of them because keaton (famine) is obsessed with mobile gacha games#and constantly is on his phone when they all meet up to talk#and ida (pesky pesty) is slightly sadistic (mostly to delm which in turn stresses brody out more)#but while they dont actually die truly ? they do have to go through cycles and so in this lifetime#keaton and ida are brother and sister#they dont really remember their past cycles clearly so delm is convinced he was a scumbag in his previous cycle#which is just karma making him a punching bag in this lifetime#while keaton and ida are very aware of themselves as half the group growing up#they dont actually all meet right away and they only interact with delm because he realizes its them#and of course he doesnt say it well he just sounds like hes trying to flirt and be a creep#so when ida tries to make him sick to death basically and he shows almost no reaction shes like wait a second#why arent you suffering??? and hes like ????? IT WOULDNT WORK WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO DO THAT? im your ally :c#and then years pass and they finally encounter brody and delm clocks him as the fourth possibly#but doesnt say it just in case hes wrong but then takes up stalking him#and brody is sooooo tired of this lil freak following him around LEAVE HIM ALONE and then it clicks#when keaton tells him oh yeah you should definitely try to kill him hes impossible to kill#and brody is like wait a second what the f- noooooo he cant be! no! why! hes pathetic and weird!#then becomes obsessed with getting him to stay unharmed and continuously fails#thanks for coming to my ted talk where all my ocs have to be stupid#and theres no brain cells in the four of em
