wonshik a well-known michelin chef and owner in france. he first started off as a professional chef under a few michelin restaurants all over paris until he was able to open his first restaurant called bonheur, which means happiness in french, during 2018 just around the time libby debuted as a member of stray kids. wonshik is the youngest of two; his sister gave birth to the idol, choi beomgyu, making libby, alex, and beomgyu cousins. he had left his hometown in south korea to attend a prestigious culinary school, in which, he met the love of his life and the mother of his children. he then decided to create his life in france, rarely visiting his hometown due to his bad relationship with his parents. unlike angelique, wonshik is a bit more stricter towards the twins. i guess you could say he’s the bad cop while angelique is the good cop. he was hesitant to let his little girl move to seoul and undergo training in jyp entertainment because he was well aware how hard the idol world was and he didn’t want her to go through the hardships, but nonetheless, wonshik allowed libby to pursue her career after alex promised him he’d look out for her. as for their relationship, the father daughter duo are closer than ever — tbh the whole family has a close bond (healthy, family relationship) — though, libby stirs away from talking to him about troubles she’s having in the industry because she knows he’ll start lecturing her about “the idol career is no good for you” and stuff along those lines. libby is his little girl — the literal definition of daddy’s girl. it’s a given really when you’re the only daughter. he always wants the best for her, keeping her away from anything and everything he thinks is harmful. speaking of which, wonshik is the main reason (the other reason being all the romance books she’s read since she was 9) as to why libby is a hopeless romantic. he’s always been a romantic to angelique and taught libby about “true love”.

⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ❛ ⠀ ANGELIQUE DELACROIX ⠀ ݁ ⠀.⠀ ✶

angelique was adopted by a french couple when she was just a couple months old hence her non-korean surname; her biological parents were fully korean and they had been on a vacation in france when they had her and gave her up for adoption for unknown reasons. she has never met them and she would prefer to leave it like that. some would say, Angelique is a disgrace to the korean culture due to being asian and not knowing anything about korea but to be fair, she had no one that could teach her — until wonshik came into her life. thanks to wonshik, angelique has immersed herself into the korean culture she had been born into. angelique is a well-known baker and café owner in france, formerly a michelin chef who decided to pursue a baking career. she opened her conjoined bakery-café called fait avec amour, which means made with love in french, right after giving birth to a set of twins: alexander and elisabeth. it didn’t take her long for her business to take off; her pastries were delicious and the different kinds of beverages she made to accompany the pastries were even more delicious. people kept coming back and soon fait avec amour became a popular place for parisians and tourists to stop by for a cup of coffee or two with a beautiful pastry on the side. her relationship with libby is really close, libby grew up helping her in the bakery and she spent most of her time with her mother she had a dance competition out of paris since angelique was able to take time off due to being her own boss at the time. libby always goes to her mother for advice and angelique is always there to give her all the support she needs. angelique loves her with her whole being — the twins are her everything, everyone knows that. she always supported both of her children when they decided to pursue an idol career and has been their number 1 fan since then.

⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ❛ ⠀ ALEXANDER KIM ⠀ ݁ ⠀.⠀ ✶

alex is the main vocalist and visual of ikigai. polar opposites is one way to describe the twins, though, it may not seem that way. they both have a sweet vibe and an innocent look to them and while it’s true for libby, don’t let alex’s cute face fool you, he’s the definition of a tsundere. he’s sarcastic, blunt, hot-headed, and extremely overprotective of his loved ones but will be (somewhat) nice to those he’s fond of or he finds tolerable. now for the twins’ relationship. while libby is a total sweetheart to everyone, she’s a menace to her womb buddy — alex is just as equally of a menace to her (and everyone else). rest assured that lots of height comments are thrown at each other whenever they’re together, it's mostly alex reminding her on a daily basis that she didn't get the tall genes in the family and libby getting mad — alex is 6’3” while libby is 5’5” and the older twin loves reminding her about it. these two fight constantly but you better believe they have each other’s backs no matter what. even though they’re always at each other’s throats, these two do in fact care for each other. make libby cry? he’s gonna kick your ass until you’re crying just as hard as she was (after you apologize, of course!). break alex’s heart? you’re dead to her. hell, even when she has her feud with hyunjin, alex hated his guts (still does but don’t tell libby that) and he let it be known.

since the two rarely see each other due to their busy schedule, they’re always sending each other messages throughout their day, updating each other on what they’re doing and how they’re feeling. they’ve done this countless of times that it’s just became a habit for them. maybe it’s the twin bond? they tend to do kind gestures for each other without realizing it. ever since they were children, they would both get two things of the same item for one another and honestly, the habit has stuck even though they no longer live with each other. when out shopping, without thinking, alex picks up two bags of cheetos, one for him and the other would have been for libby if they were together since he's so used to having to share, he does it out of instinct at this point, and libby does the same thing. family and friends find the gesture cute so when they do it, they don’t point it out. another thing about the twins is that sometimes they avoid going back home in france together because their mother makes it her mission to make them wear matching clothing just like she did when they were younger — it was a sort of punishment for them but somehow turned into something she enjoyed. they hate it then and they hate it now but they can’t really disobey their mother, they love her too much for that.

the twins being the adventurous dorks they are, had been running around the streets of paris when they came across two kittens, huddled together under a park bench. alex nor libby waited a second to pick the kittens up and run back home to wrap them up in a blanket. they didn’t have a tag and they seemed pretty dirty meaning they were most likely strays so why not keep them? angelique is a cat person so she wasn’t that mad about the twins brining animals inside their home. the same can not be said about wonshik. he’s more of a dog person so immediately upon seeing their pointy ears, he pointed to the door and repeatedly said no. y’know what the twins and their mother did? gave him puppy dog eyes until he gave in. which wasn’t long. poor wonshik can never say no to his kids much less his wife. luna became libby’s precious cat while binx became alex’s, which was quite shocking to angelique. she thought alex would get the black cat and libby the white cat due to their personalities then again, the each cat seemed to gravitate more towards their respected owner.

after some time, wonshik grew to love the cats and got used to them but to say he was practically jumping for joy when angelique’s parents gifted libby a dog for her birthday (before you say anything about being unfair! alex had gotten a bunch of video games alongside a new game counsel, plus libby had been wanting a puppy since she was 4). now, the two cats match their fur color. luna is the most crankiest cat you’ll ever meet while binx is a huge cuddlebug. can you guess who tried to bite bambi’s head off when he popped out of the gift box? luna!! though, binx comforted the puppy right after, giving luna the silent treatment. bambi has no favorites amongst his cat sisters, he loves them both dearly. out of the three, bambi is the most energetic. always running around, bothering his sisters, and playing with libby (or libby’s parents if she’s not home). that being said, luna is always smacking bambi in a way to get him to calm down — doesn’t work — which then ends up with binx smacking her for smacking bambi. can you tell bambi is binx’s favorite?
