FAQ (Updated as of 02/12/24)
Q: Did you take your stories off AO3?
I did not, no. I simply locked them so that only registered users on the site could read them. Anyone without an account there will simply see an otherwise blank profile when they search or click on my username.
For my guest readers, I do apologize for the inconvenience. AO3 accounts are free to use though. You’ll just first need to request an invite, which can be done on the homepage. After that, you’ll be entered into the site’s invitation queue and then be given instructions on how to create your account. Depending on the time of year, the queue can be rather lengthy, but please just be patient. Once your account is made, you’ll be able to access my fics again.
Q: Why did you decide to lock your stories on AO3?
Beyond just serving as a deterrent for the occasional anonymous troll, I’m also not comfortable with the idea of an AI program skimming or copying my work to improve its own writing capabilities.
Q: Do you have a FAQ about Niamh?
I do now, yes! I figured it might prove useful to new readers, especially given how long my fic is turning out to be. :)
Q: What is your update schedule like for Over the Sea to the Clouds Above?
As of July 2023, I began a paid apprenticeship in a program I’ve been wanting to get into for ages. As it involves me working a night schedule, my writing has unfortunately suffered due to this new but exciting change. My plan is to update OtSttCA a few times out of the year, depending on my work schedule. While all the chapters are fairly lengthy at this point, I always strive to make sure each one is of quality content for my readers. I know the wait in between each update isn’t very fun, but I thank you all in advance for your patience!
Q: Do you have links to your AUs? Yes, I’ve belatedly realized that my blog isn’t very mobile-friendly, but you can see the masterpost for all my AUs here.
Q: Are you planning to write more about your AUs?
I’d certainly love to! Once I finish OtSttCA, depending on the interest of my readers, I’ll either be focusing on the sequel next or dedicating more time into fleshing out the AUs into full-fledged stories one by one.
Q: May I ask you about your character(s), your stories, or your AUs?
Absolutely! I love talking to my readers! :D Just bear in mind, however, that I might not be able to answer everything in detail since it could be a spoiler for a chapter I’ve yet to write.
Q: Can anyone send you prompts/questions when you post writing memes?
Yes! It doesn’t matter if you’re a follower of mine or not, feel free to send a prompt/question in.
Q: Do you take AU/story requests?
Not necessarily. You’re more than welcome to send an idea in, and if I like it enough, I might write about it. It’s not always guaranteed though.
Q: Do you have a FAQ about your Shepard?
Yes! With the Mass Effect remaster out, I do plan to write within that fandom again eventually! :D For now, I hope you enjoy the little profile histories I have for Rajhi in each game along with the various AUs I have in mind for her.
Q: Do you have any other social media platforms outside of Tumblr?
Nope! I think I may be too old and easily distracted to keep up with the newer ones these days. Lol. I am on a Discord server dedicated specifically to Leliana, so if you want to talk to me there, that’s an option too. :)
