I need someone to rob a build a bear factory for me hes out of stock already.

The emos need to revolt for them to make more im going to explode if i dont get him.

I love getting visibly used/loved objects from thrift stores. Its cool finding things in amazing condition but theres just something special about the objects that show their age. I even try to preserve some of the markings, like i recently drew on a build a bear because the marker that was previously on there faded a bit when i washed it. Ill choose the raggedy ann whos hair bow was cut and attach new yarn to the pieces. Ill get the robot dinosaur with a broken neck and try to fix it dispite having no experience in fixing electronics. They were loved by someone and i want them to keep getting love while i have them.

Watching a video essay on the vhs fnaf tapes and it gave me a idea.

A raggedy ann analog horror style thing based on raggedy ann loosing her candy heart and does scary things because of it. Probably not the most original premise lol.

OR something in the realm of the mlp infection aus but its based on the dolls themselves. Like something happens to the dolls that slowly warps them and it has different effects depending on the era of the dolls. Like the older the era of the doll the more gruesome. I could do this idea myself using my own dolls tbh, if i do im tempted to make my giant raggedy ann (aka the annabelle doll) somehow immune or gentle just because people always see her as the scary ghost doll and im not doing my girl dirty like that.

You know that stupid raggedy ann slinky toy?

This thing its hideous and we all love it

Well i now present to you zooted raggedy ann

God i wish the book gave more details its so fucking funny

A little raggedy ann using the scraps from my raggedy ann costume :3

I thought i appreciated how well miss ann was made when i made her a andy but man raggedy ann clothes are so tedious to make. The hems on her are like perfect whoever made her was so skilled and had a lot of care put into her. And especially the embroidery its so well done and is annoying to do especially when its a big doll and not the small ones.

Also i hate hemming

Sophie, of course Jews are not satanists but youโ€™ve got to understand the idea that Jews are satanic and perform satanic rituals is literally centuries old antisemitism, going back to before the eleventh century. White supremacists frequently refer to Judaism as the synagogue of Satan. Do you know what blood libel is?

Saying โ€œum you do know Jews arenโ€™t Satanistsโ€ in response to criticism about antisemitism is either intellectually dishonest or just ignorant.

Sure, but that doesn't mean the Satanic Panic was primarily about Jews. The idea of secret cults of Satanists has been around for centuries. Much of the same accusations that have been made about Jews and Satanic cults in the 80s have also been made about witches who were believed to be consorting with the devil for hundreds of years.

The tropes about witches eating children, to be fair, likely sprang from the blood libel and antisemitic tropes. But it's complicated, and we're talking about beliefs that had evolved over centuries. So even if they had related origins historically, these origins would have been largely forgotten by the culture in the 80s. (And not particularly easy to research pre-internet.)

The Satanic Panic was hundreds of years after the Salem Witch Trials, where accused witches were said to be consorting with the devil and cannibalizing children.

These ideas were ingrained in our cultural idea of what a Satanist was in America.

Again, it's complicated. Because if you go back hundreds of years, you would probably find that a lot of the tropes surrounding witches were probably based at least in part on antisemitic tropes. But I think these diverged pretty significantly over time to the point where I don't believe hardly anyone, aside from the most fringe groups, actually considered their fears over Satanist cults to be related to Judaism at all.

You say I'm being intellectually dishonest. But I think it's intellectually dishonest to describe the Satanic Panic as primarily antisemitic when the majority of the people involved likely weren't associating Judaism with Satanism at the time. And to the point that antisemitic tropes were involved, these tropes have been associated with fictional Satanic witches for centuries and were largely divorced from whatever association with Judaism they originally had in the public consciousness in America.

And in regards to RAMCOA, I find this particular talking point to be incredibly manipulative.

"Don't use RAMCOA because RAMCOA is related to Satanic Ritual Abuse which came from the Satanic Panic and the Satanic Panic was antisemitic because Jews have been accused of being Satanists before, therefore you're being antisemitic for using RAMCOA."

Let's all be 100% clear on what's going on here.

The anti-RAMCOA side is trying to emotionally manipulate cult survivors into not using accurate language because of tenuous connections to antisemitism.

And I don't particularly like how calling the Satanic Panic as a whole antisemitic, for the purpose of manipulating cult survivors into not identifying with RAMCOA, perpetuates associations between Judaism and Satanism that should never have existed to begin with.

I don't see how accusing people who talk about Satanic cults of antisemitism could possibly do anything but cause harm to the Jewish people who I assume would be happy to not be associated with Satanism at all.

Which brings me to one final point:

This particular talking point is disguising itself as being in support of Jewish people. But it's not. What it is, is anti-cult survivor.

I dont understand why they have to draw that connection to call the satanic panic bad. Like yes anything not Christian was called satanic (and still is depending on how extreme the religious group is), but what about the actual satanists and devil worshippers who became the scapegoat. Obviously the satanic panic was much more than the scapegoats but if they want to claim bigotry against a religion they dont have to make a connection to Judaism they can support the satanists/devil worshippers aka the ones in the name. Feels a bit ironic they dont want to use the satanists to make a point about the satanic panic.

Is my religion not serious enough for them to use for a point? im seriously offended im gonna ask some demons to cuse them /s

The doll i got from a estate sale (named her agatha) may be haunted LOL. I cant say i wasnt expecting it i knew it was more likley for her to be haunted. Its been a good few months and i thought she was just a ragdoll but when my sister came over and walked into my room she straight up told me i brought a ghost home. Im just bad at feeling the energy of ghosts i guess the only odd thing about her was she liked to fall off her place on a table i just assumed she was top heavy since she is pretty firm. Also my giant raggedy ann may also be haunted which is ironic bc shes already the same type of doll as annabelle. Shes pretty chill though she gives great hugs and has a nice sweet smell that won't go away.

Heres agatha and my big ann

I recently got my 70th build a bear, its funny because i started collecting because of a dream. It was in the begenning of 2023 and i had a dream i was looking for my childhood bear gracie bear. So when i woke up i decided to get her out of storage and i washed her and fixed her voice box. (It still worked but the audio was staticy, new batteries made her good as new). I did get a few build a bears before that but i wasnt going to thrift stores looking for them secondhand. I even found the same kind of bear my sister had when she was younger while at a thrift store with her. (The original bear was lost but i think fathie bear came back in her own way). Honestly i dont think i would've tried to learn sewing if i didnt start collecting. At first it was so i could wash the bears easier and closw them themselves but then i started to want to make clothes for them. Now i even made a raggedy ann dress for myself!

Anyway if you want to start collecting thrift stores are your best friend. Facebook marketplace has also been great and pretty affordable if you can drive/have someone to drive you. Rummage sales can also have some, i havent found a build a bear at one but ive gotten a build a bear dresser at one, the second one i went to also had the pink one. Majority of my collection is secondhand ive gotten 12 new and a lot of them were gifts too.

This is my complete collection minus the new one so just imagine theres one more hidden in the army of build a bears lol
