Something I've been seeing quite a bit from people that believe that Autism is only a disability because of society, is the idea that the way higher support needs Autistic people become not disabled in our society is by having people around them help them with all of the things they can't do.

And like, I feel like this speaks to the massive disconnect between LSN Autistics and HrSN Autistics.

Having to rely on others just to be able to exist in the world, is, in and of itself, very disabling.

You can't do what you want, when you want. You are constantly on other people's time. If someone forgets or doesn't show up for you, then you're stuck, you can't do anything about it. Because you're disabled.

I highly implore that anyone that thinks this to please go and listen to and talk to higher support needs disabled people, and disabled people that have carers.

It is okay to be disabled.

What Strength Really Means 💪

Hey everyone, my name is Abdelmajed. I don’t usually talk much about myself, but today, I want to share a little piece of my story.

I was born and raised in Gaza, a place that has always been my home 🏡. I grew up surrounded by my family, my friends, and the streets that I knew like the back of my hand. Life wasn’t always easy, but we had love, laughter, and dreams. I used to think that no matter what happened, home would always be here. But life has a way of changing things in ways we never expect.

Over the past months, everything I once knew has disappeared. The streets that were once filled with children playing are now silent. The houses that held so many memories are now just rubble. And the people I loved—some of them are gone forever. 💔

Help families buy tents in Gaza

Relief for Rafah (R4R), a community kitchen and mutual aid project, is trying to raise enough money to buy tents for displaced families from Al-Mawasi. Two families in the organizers' refugee camp are currently living on the street without shelter of any kind. Each tent costs about $1,000 USD.

$1,205 / $2,000

Are we allowed to make OCs based on your world provided we give you credit?

Even though this is the top of my FAQ I still get this question like twice a month, minimum. As such, I have decided that as of today, April 1st 2025, readers are NO LONGER ALLOWED to make an RttS OC. They are REQUIRED. If you read my comic without making an OC during the 3 day grace period, I will personally block your IP address from the Wordpress comic site. Chop chop.

this is 'Dave' (a nickname), an astronaut from a scud nation's space program, sent out to investigate a strange appearance at the edge of their solar system. their friend, and the one who nicknamed them Dave, is Halbert Gordon, an AI with a fascination with classic earth sci-fi, like Halo, Half-Life and, of course, 2001. currently, they are collaborating on a series of charts to easily convert between Scud and galactic standard measurements. given the nature of scud weights and measures standardization, they have a whole staff, and have spawned about a terabyte of memes about competing standards and the difference between 'Creativity' and 'Corporate Creativity'.

Halbert is hoping to convert Dave to communism.

This is marvelous.

this is Yarrow (split from Zinnia, split from Dahlia, etc. split from Daisy, etc. split from Nedebug) (Daisy was named by a bug ferret researcher fascinated by early computer age human culture, after Daisy Bell), operator of the uncrewed BFGC bulk cargo ship Redlight. they appear over video as a shifting topological knot (changing to a new but similar design knot roughly every one second).

pretend the remass tanks are integral to the flat hull, oops. also making a lot of assumptions about cargo and ships in this world, all of which may be wrong. mostly was just inspired by the big ball of contemporary-style modular containers in the final season of The Expanse.

A topological knot is such a good AI icon omg

so as you might have guessed because I said I was camping in the woods to avoid getting sick:

someone in my household has covid unfortunately but we did manage to get them a Paxlovid subscription. they’re uninsured, and even GoodRx coupons only brought the cost down to $1,300 USD.

I thought to check the drug manufacturer website and quickly signed up online through its portal and received a pharmacy card by email that lowered the cost to $0

There are also options for insured patients to dramatically lower their copays. I’m in the U.S., and I’m unsure whether this is applicable elsewhere, but I wanted to share this info on access to potentially lifesaving medication, for anyone it may help!

First art made in a long time.

Made icon art for our friend's partner Victoria, a disabled Brazilian trans woman. Victoria is fundraising for medical support, mental health recovery from grief, and for food.

Especially for "Trans Day of Visibility" and "Give A Trans Woman A Pizza or Meal of Her Choice" today, will you give her support too ?

Here is her ko-fi page:

📢Very urgent.!

🚨 We Need Your Kindness to Survive

My name is Inas Imad, from Gaza, and I am 30 year old wife and first time expecting mother living in the most unimaginable and dire circumstances for over a year now. Three years ago I married my best friend and have struggled trying to start a family. Even after this war began, my husband and I did not lose hope in starting our family and we continued in determination to live and to bring new life into this world. I am now currently pregnant with our first child, however due to the consequences of this war, I am faced with a high risk, dangerous pregnancy according to the doctor and I am very afraid that if I do not get get adequate nutrition, the medications, and supplies that I need, I will lose my child. The doctor has ordered medication to be given by injection throughout my pregnancy to help me carry my baby to term, however I do not have the money to purchase the medication and syringes needed, nor do we have the money to purchase adequate nutrition. Life here in Gaza is very difficult and we become more hopeless by the day. My husband and I had just started to build our lives together. We had a nice home where we had planned to start our family, and now we are subjected to living in a tent where there is no bathroom and we spend our nights just trying to get warm. It has been difficult being pregnant and not having a bathroom or even a bed to sleep on, but I want my child more than anything. The only hope we have left is in our baby and I am asking you to stand with us. Please, help us in any way you can to save our child. We feel very alone and abandoned, but we are determined to live and we want to see our child be one of the miracles that comes out of Gaza. Any amount you can donate, no matter how small, means the world to us. We will never forget you standing with us. Please, help me to evacuate from Gaza so that I can see my dream of being a mother and bringing my beautiful baby into this world to make it a better place and helping my husband and I be able to watch our child grow up. We will be forever grateful to you.

Please you are hope for me!

Don't make me lose hope.!

He is my first child.!😭😭😭

How You Can Help:

I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $10 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.!
