she/her - 25 πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺ- πŸŽ“ business administration (specialization in taxation) graduated 2024

At the beginning of the month I finally had my graduation ceremony. I already graduated in February but my university has the ceremony only once a year.

I started working like 10 months ago so it felt a bit weird tbh. I couldn't graduate with my friends so I knew no one there.

Starting next week I will be working in a different city actually. I'm going to a different department and will officially become a tax inspector!

(the left picture is the only professional picture I have with myself in it lol and I cropped people out of it cuz privacy πŸ™ƒ)

i must not lie down on my bed with my phone. lying down with my phone is the time-killer. lying down with my phone is the little mistake that brings total academic obliteration. i will face my phone. i will permit it to show me my updated tumblr feed. and when i have scrolled past a few posts i will turn over my phone and place it down. where the procrastination has gone there will be nothing. only i will remain

I am so over with reviewing for my exam on Monday. I really cannot stay focused anymore after having worked on this stuff this long, so I took the afternoon off, and I do not feel guilty about it. I have reviewed everthing ad nauseam, I genuinely cannot get more informations into my brain. In the past few days I finished my third review, I've finished my reread of the first two books in the Deadendia graphic novels (and cannot wait for the release of the translation of the third book, since I got the first two in Italian). And I have continued reading the second book in the Emily Wilde series, which I am really enjoying!

39-41/50 days of productivity

  • Read first thing in the morning
  • Finished my third and final review for my exam
  • Theraphy session
  • Irish on duolingo
  • Continued reading the Emily Wilde series
  • Finished my Deadendia reread for the trans rights readathon and loved it so much again!!

26.03.2025β€”updated to do list from the other day. not having the best day ever, but feels good seeing the progress ive made

this notebook is a stalogy & i love it. pen is from zebra sarasa vintage series, and the highlighter is a grey mildliner

01.04.2025β€”happy April!! still in a major depressive slump, not thriving. enjoy some old photos while i get out of whatever this is

[welcome to the drafts: 2024]
[this was a funny time: I was constantly overworked from having to do too many hours at my job, chose Girl, Woman, Other for a graded paper and ended up hating it, but I also started mending my clothes which still brings me an immense amount of joy!]

01.04 // one fourth of the year is done! and instead of buying any of the books on my poll (or, you know, the winner: Portrait of a Thief) I found this Alex Rowland book and HAD to get it! My apologies to everyone who was invested in that poll, I beefed it....

I had a dinner with friends directly after work yesterday and I'm never doing that again. That day was entirely too long, I need to be able to Go Home between work and social commitments!!

The last two weeks were exhausting, so I'm recovering slowly, trying to text peoole back finally and clinging to the prospect of vacation in less than two weeks.

In rotation today: Reverberate - Bears in Trees

I went to the bank last week to talk about options for a loan to buy a house/appartment.

I've only worked for a year so I didn't have high hopes but it was still depressing lol

The prices these days are just crazy and I don't have a partner so I have to pay it all by myself.

I'm just going crazy living back home with my parents lol, I was much more independent while living in a dorm.

Wednesday, the 26th of March 2025

After more than half a decade and years of a buzzcut I've treated myself to a haircut (and a fringe), despite a busy schedule and two exams coming up. I just needed to have an hour to myself, for vanity and talking to strangers about everything and nothing. It was well worth it, and when I got home, I was greeted by bundles of freshly harvested wild garlic and a wonderfully fragrant wild garlic pesto that my flatmate was cooking.

  • proof-read museum texts round no. 2
  • read essay on rudolf's court and take notes
  • read essay on rudolf as a "citizen king" and take notes
  • read essay on rudolf's biography and take notes
  • record notes on heinrich VII.
  • record notes on ludwig der bayer
  • 2.5 h drive home (get gas & groceries)

24.03.2025β€”cheeky update from my last postβ€”i was able to get over my meltdown by devising this to do list. the left side has everything i need to read & take notes on for coursework, as well draft (down the bottom), and the right side is the same but for my PhD. by managing like this i feel a sense of achievement ticking things off, instead of just writing β€œresearch essay” on my to do list and not being able to tick it off bc i haven’t submitted the essay yet. breaking it down into smaller chunks thus helps with that sense of achievement when working on large projects. hope this is helpful, just wanted to share a more positive update

Today was a good day. And I got the idea to illustrate a Shakespeare play and rewrite it so my students understand it. I would love to start but I don't have time and I'm sure it'll take forever...

wednesday 02.26.25

I felt like I was stumbling into the week. Sunday always is over way too fast and then the new week begins even though I'm not ready yet... But well, time doesn't stop so here we are. Let's hope I can catch up tomorrow.
