why is no one talking about kevin telling jean he still hears riko’s voice when he was drunk i feel like that’s something we should focus on more

It's almost like a parallel to Jean's trauma of Riko's physical violence. Jean hears Riko's voice too. But most of the time his fear is of physical torture. That's what Jean remembers when he starts spiralling. He feels Riko's knives, remembers the feeling of dropping before hitting the floor. But Kevin hears Riko's voice. And the voice in his head was so bad that he started talking to Bee in his sessions even when he didn't want to. Even Jean says Kevin's wounds were never physical, but mental. The first body on which Riko tried his torturous tendencies. Makes me wonder what kind of things Riko said to Kevin. Since Kevin already had mental barriers by the time Jean came to nest, it must have been terrible.

i once read a fanfic where riko made kevin say “he belongs to riko” for 2 hours straight and by the end he was rambling incoherently and imagine the mental stress and manipulation that would put one under. it’s so scary and it’s just one possibility that a fic writer made up, imagine what he actually did and how horrible that must have been, imagine living like that your whole life. it’s a miracle, a freaking miracle that kevin is a functioning human being. it says how much kindness is inside his heart that he’s still trying to reach out to neil and jean about their trauma from the nest.
