James hooks a finger under Natalia’s chin, tilting her face up to his as a soft smirk tugs at his lips.
"Y'know, I could fight for a hundred years and never win a battle as easy as loving you."
She blushes deeply, which is really rare for her. Since she taught herself not to get flustered easily. "Really?" She whispers while shyly trying not to meet his gaze.
He lets out a soft chuckle, the sound low and warm, as he brushes a strand of hair behind her ear. He tilts his head, studying her like she’s the most fascinating thing he has ever seen in the world.
“Really," he murmurs, his thumb grazing her jaw. “And I’d do it another hundred years if it meant seeing you look at me like that again."
She blushes harder and nuzzles into him. "Stop!!! You're making me feel weird." She mumbles into his neck, keeping her face hidden.
He laughs softly, wrapping his arms around her, holding her close.
"Weird, huh?" he teases, pressing a kiss to her hair. "Is that what we’re calling it now?"
"Mmmmmmmmmmm." She keeps her face hidden from him. "I don't like being flustered!"
He pulls back just enough to give her some space, but his hands stay resting on her waist.
"Alright, alright. No more teasing. How have things been with your family?”
She whines but looks up. "Lena's fine. My parents are weird. As always." She shakes her head. "They were doing that weird thing they always do when Lena and I are around."
He raises an eyebrow. "Weird thing? What weird thing?"
"The weird uncomfortable flirting thing they do." She huffs. "It's weird."
“Huh. Really? I didn’t know they were like that. Especially Alexei… he’s a handful.”
"They do it on purpose to bother me!" She whines.

*They’re searching shelves, looking for a particular book. They finally find it and go to grab it, but another person reaches for it at the same time. They turn and see River. They smile at her, removing their hand from the book to offer it for a handshake instead.* Hi, I’m Fox!
"Oh. Hey, I'm River." She grabs the book and passes it to you. "Here. You were reaching for it first." She smiles. "Plus, I've already read this one like a billion times."
*She goes quiet as she notices you stir.*
