i LOVE flowers🌺, so i actually felt like putting in more effort today! I've been taking it easy this challenge, and just enjoying myself

i also forgot to share day 2 💖 where i realised alcohol markers are not great for this paper. bleeds through of course, as usual🤧 but that's alright, i got some regular water-based markers (crayola supertips!) recently. love how they move with water btw, like watercolour markers

[ID 1: An artwork of a brown chicken in a colorful hilly field of flowers. There is a dirt path the chicken is on that stretches into the distance. In the top center is a sun peeking from the hills. At the very top are two uncolored chickens, one holding a cup of coffee in its talons, and the other with a donut around its neck. Next to them are the words "Coffee & Donuts," "Chrysanthemums," and "Day 6." /End ID 1]

[ID 2: An artwork of a forest with a path in the middle. Pink chickens and yellow chicks are on the path with their beaks down presumably looking for food. Above them is a giant white chicken and giant yellow chick walking on the treetops. There is a big white tree near them and pink leaves. The words "1. Maple" are written above them. There is also a Inaba label on one of the trees. /End ID 2]

still experimenting with my art supplies! i had wished i didnt use the black marker on the chickens, but it is fine✌️ i think they're adorable nonetheless, and I will look back on this sketchbook fondly💞🐤

Anonymous asked:

If you are alright with this type of question, may I ask what your favorite art challenge has been?

hmmmm, i think for digital art it has to be froggyfall, simply because I had made leaps and bounds with my art whilst doing it! I remember feeling so proud of each and every one of them 😄 in a way!

But!

I just don't think it compares to traditional, tactile art to me, so Junk journal January/July!! it really pushed me on days I wanted to be pushed, and help me take a step back on days with less energy. being creative really transformed my life🥺💖

thanks so much for asking!

"Solar Power", 2024, acrylic on telephone circuit board

this circuit board is leftover from the telephone i took apart to make Botch Job! i am absolutely no painter but i had a lot of fun with this one. the background of this picture is my paint pallet which is actually the lid of the plastic storage bin my paint is in, i never wash the paint off, so it has layers of old projects on it!

[ID: a painting directly on a tall rectangular circuit board. the painting is of a colorful sun with many rays stretching out from it in yellow, orange, pink, blue, and white. end ID.]

mutually assured destruction

[Image ID: A drawing of two hawks, one tan and black, the other gray and black, with their wings midflight. Their heads are facing opposite directions while their talons dig into each others bodies, spouting pink blood. End ID]

COMPLETED! 1800's Dutch embroidery pattern i used to learn embroidery! (my first piece💘🥺) im so proud of this

it's on a "kraplap", which is a traditional Dutch costume, and I'll be hand sewing it together with lining to encase all threads ☺️

I will be adding my monogram to the back first, as that's quite historically accurate!!

(ft my new vintage wooden ornaments on the tree 🎄 they're from the 80's and my in-laws gave them to me🥰🕯️🩵✨)
