Gazing upon the endless creators of Tumblr that could absolutely use my beginner's advice to change their perspectives on Black people- and thus their Black character design and media analysis of Black characters- knowing they'll never ask because confronting their internalized biases is "outside of their comfort zone":
The cool secret to no longer be uncomfortable at the idea of being antiblack is knowledge!
You can either walk around on pins and needles worried that you might accidentally be racist and experience social consequence for that, and lose that blissful claim to ignorance anyway-
OR
You can educate yourself! By knowing what to spot, you can dodge those potholes and be a better (or at least less ignorant) person in the long run! And that will make you far more comfortable in your intent vs your actions, because you will be aware!
For those who want to educate themselves, to take that first step, I have the blog for you! 👍🏾

huran enki part I: primer
this is the 1st of a series of posts introducing my main projects and the characters who you will see in my works. see them all in the Collections tab on subscribestar or in the tag #primer on tumblr! huran enki is my 6+ year old original fantasy/black comedy about barbarians and their problems. it's my solo project and a sandbox that i fuck around with via comics/illustrations/writings but formally i would like it to be an illustrated novel one day!
i'm glad i limited my surprise me scene comms to 1 slot a month bcus PHEW they are a workout for my brain... love getting to take risks and play around so much though!!! these are for quietus and @nanocolors ❤️ and um no these scenes arent related this is not an assassin chasing a couple through a haunted house lol

This is a step-by-step guide on how to use InDesign (or similar programs) to format and print a zine. This can be used for fanzines, sketchbooks, anything. It’s also only one way to do things - there are as many methods as there are zines under the sun. If you’re interested in other ways, searching for zinemaking on youtube would be a start.
