The Hummingbird Clearwing (Hemaris thysbe) looks fucking ridiculous. And they're also in the hawkmoth family but that's unrelated.
Due to their absolutely goddamn insane shape (I have yet to see another creature so perfectly shaped like a fucking shrimp that isn't a shrimp), they are commonly mistaken for bees and hummingbirds, while this mistaken identity is because they feed on the nectar of flowers, hovering near them when they drink.
