I wanna talk about Jason so badly but also I know everyone gets annoyed when I do so I’m

i guess i’m just like. annoyed with how people take Jason’s issues out of context? like. i wanna make clear this isn’t about making him be angry/aggressive in certain situations because like any other characters he has his ~berserk button~ and he does get like that about certain crimes, but it annoys me to no end when people erase the context in which this happened in his original robin run? and more importantly it bothers me to no end that this is like THE characterization given to him everywhere like PLEASE can i have some robin jason that isn’t demonized and beaten to be taught a lesson every turn?

I've been messaging back and forth with @mohammedalanqer after he shared his fundraiser with me, and very quickly into our conversation I offered to draw a comic about him to help boost his gofundme. he was incredibly excited about the idea and shared so many lovely pictures of his family for reference. the text is based off his story of him and his family living under constant bombardment, which you can read here.
