Black History Month is coming and Duke Thomas is preparing to be a menace. He can get away with anything no matter the time of year, but February is when he gets to be ridiculous and nobody will call him on it.

“Your patrol report is late, Signal.”

“You want me to fill out the white man’s paperwork? In this holy month of melanin?”

Batman just blinks and turns back to the computer. “Understood, my apologies.”

Tim wants to choose what they’re ordering for dinner.

“It’s my turn to pick and I want Thai.”

Duke doesn’t even object to Thai, but this is his time to shine. Well, shine more than usual. “Why am I being subjected to the white man’s will?”

Tim nods and holds out his phone. “I apologize for my outburst, king.”

Duke orders Thai anyway.

Damian has an understanding of history akin to someone with advanced degrees in the subject, so he wants Duke to feel celebrated and honored every February. He’s also a gremlin and has Duke’s blessing to engage in some nonsense.

“I will not be participating in these…” Damian trails off and glances across the table at Duke, who gives him a thumbs up and an encouraging nod. “…these white man activities. They are oppressive and offensive to my ancestors.”

Dick and Jason exchange amused looks while Bruce’s face takes on a confused expression.

“You’re white,” the older man retorts. “Half, anyway. So half of your ancestors are the white man. And cleaning up after the dog you asked for isn’t exactly—“

“Sounds oppressive,” Jason interjects. “Not a good look, Bruce.”

“Not a good look,” Dick agrees.

Bruce sighs and leaves the table to clean up Ace’s mess in the foyer.

“Well done,” Duke laughs. “The ancestors will be pleased.”

That girl has been begging for help for over a year. Even if she doesn’t have a job, she can do gigs or something to get paid. She’s casually letting people pay for her lifestyle. She can easily do ubereats or something to pay her rent.

Go on her profile and search “rent”; there hasn’t been a month where she hasn’t begged for rent help. There’s always a reason like “black history month,” “pride month,” or whatever reason that is illogical to tug at heartstrings.

I definitely believe in helping people, but not when it’s obvious that they’re using people.

The problem with pokemon is that if you've been playing it your whole life, you end up liking pretty much all of them eventually. Like I know exeggcute is just some eggs but. I've been seeing them since '98, on cute cards, in tv shows, and movies and games. Some eggs just living their best life. Some eggs are my friend.

SAILOR MOON AND SAILOR V COSTUME AND TIMELINE HEADCANON

Okay so there’s Sailor V. 

And at first she has a costume that is different from the other senshi, whose costumes are mostly uniform. 

and that is because she became a soldier before the Moon Princess did. 

But the moment Usagi became a soldier is the same moment Sailor V regained her memories and her standard uniform in Sailor V. 

In Sailor Moon, just moments before she transforms for the first time, Usagi has this dream.  

A dream where she rescues the guy she thinks is cute and that cat with the crescent bald spot 

In the Crystal anime (which we know Naoko had input on), they even animated Luna like this

And in the final chapter of of Sailor V (which was published after the first arc of Sailor Moon had finished) we see Sailor V’s final battle. 

She is in her Sailor V uniform. 

rescuing the guy she has a crush on and Artemis, who is in a cage

And Usagi is seeing it in a vision, in her dream. And because she doesn’t have all the information she’s putting the cats and guys from her experience in the place of V’s. 

Usagi wakes up and meets Luna at the same time Venus is realising the guy she’s with is not all he seems. The world around around her starts shaking and she’s visions of a crumbling world. Her memory starts returning. 

In Tokyo (Minako is currently in China), the brooch that Usagi is holding starts glowing all on its own. 

And she transforms into Sailor Moon. 

Which is when, in China, Minako sees her vision of Serenity, and we get the very last shot of her in her Sailor V uniform. 

From that point on in Sailor V, Minako is wearing her Sailor Venus uniform. 

If Usagi hadn’t been the senshi Luna had found, even if Sailor V had started recovering her memories, her uniform would have remained unique. And if Luna had found the other girls first, they would have had more unique uniforms as well, perhaps the ones shown in the prototype art. 

Similarly if V hadn’t been found by Artemis, and Usagi had been the very first senshi to be awoken, she would have had a uniform like in the prototype image, because she would have been a lone soldier, not an unaware part of a team. 

While the girls and cats didn’t realise it, the unity of their uniforms was a sign of their already having found and united under the princess as a team. And if the princess had been alone, or if they hadn’t found the princess yet, their uniforms would have been more individual. And that’s why Sailor V gets her unique outfit for her first year of crimefighting before Usagi is awoken.

Oh, just something kinda neat that ties a bit into game mechanics. Cap seems ok with Liko's sweeter curry (he gives his approval, but doesn't seem to particularly care for it), but definitely seemed to prefer Roy's spicy curry. Spicy is associated with being "Cool" in Pokemon Contests, and Pokemon with Attack-heightening natures, which fits Cap's mostly physical moveset.

It also makes sense because a "Cool" Pokemon like Cap HATES being seen as "Cute" (associated with the Sweet flavor and Speed stat), to the point of it triggering a sneezing fit. Thus, I think if we ever get an in-game distribution of the Captain, I think he'll have the Brave Nature:

For those wondering why almond water, earlier stories about the backrooms mention an almond smell. Now a bunch of people who don't know how to do horror well seem to have jumped to the idea that this almond smell is some magic cure all almond water

It should be noted that an almond smell is a common sign of cyanide which flew over those people's heads

the things that are reported matters. the language used matters. what is left out of the story matters.

This is very important. Systemic problems trump individual action all the time.
