Hi everyone!

I’ve got some news regarding Willow and our event.

First of all, Willow and I will be forever grateful for everyone who was kind enough and decided to postpone their mating season fics until she would eventually get her blog back and return to us. We appreciate you all so much. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

Unfortunately and without going into detail here, she won’t come back. I know this will bring up a lot of questions, but I can’t and won’t answer them out of respect for her privacy, I’m sorry and I hope you guys can understand.

To not keep you all waiting any longer, we have decided that instead of hosting a new Kinktober event this year, we will use the opportunity and finally finish our Mating Season event.

Everyone is welcome to join and post their mating season fics starting October 1st.

A/n: Welcome to the first chapter of my new series! I really hope you all enjoy 😊

Synopsis: In a place where being human was frowned upon Spider Socorro was determined to show you that he was worthy of your love, worthy enough to be your mate. He’d fight tooth and nail to show just how much he belonged with you and apart of the people despite whatever challenges he seemed to face.

For as long as Spider could remember he always felt out of place in the world of Pandora. Knowing and seeing that he and the other humans didn’t belong, though they weren’t treated badly, still he knew. That’s how the dislike for himself slowly grew over the years as he got older he wanted more and more to be Na’vi and to be one of the people. To live freely without ridicule and mistrust that one day he’d turn around and destroy the world he came to love.

His home.

Even now as Spider stared at himself through the broken mirror, each shattered piece showed him a reflection of himself he didn’t want to be. Pieces of himself that he didn’t know how to love. Each shard represented a piece of him that he hated more than the last. He pointed out all the issues he could see, the main problem was the fact that he wasn’t Na’vi and he knew for a fact that he would never be.

From his skin, to his pinkie finger, the hair above his eyes, but the most important part of it all was that he didn’t have a kuru one that connected him to the world around him. He’d never get to experience that first hand, only living to hear about it and dream about but never getting to experience it.

Turning away from the shattered mirror Spider shook his head to push away the thoughts that started swirling around in his mind. They always seem to weigh heavy on him, they always did; always back there lingering, discouraging him from continuing normal task or just showing his face at all

There was one thing that Spider knew and that was being in the Omatikaya was the one place he felt like he belonged at least a little bit. He knew his way around the village and the people. There he felt like he could at least pretend that he was na’vi, one thing he never grew out of was the blue painted stripes drawn across his body. However he was not in the comfort of the Omatikaya clan, he was not amongst his people anymore. He did not feel like he belonged, and he definitely didn’t feel like this was his home.

Here in the reefs he was a stranger, an outsider he didn’t belong. Everything was so different to him, uncommon. The climate was different meaning, it was hotter during the day and cooler at night. The homes were different and the food was different, the way of hunting was different as well. In his mind spider knew he could pretend with his blue stripes all day, it would never make a difference. He was always to be a stranger in his this new home, even if the Sullys weren’t strangers anymore. This was their home after the final battle and nearly losing Neteyam, he knew. They proved it the moment the family fought as part of the Metkayina.

This was his home and he’s having to learn to adapt or die, and quite frankly he would do his best to fight.

Spider couldn’t help the way his mind often drifted back to the days where things were simple, where he didn’t hate himself as much for something he couldn’t control. Things were not so simple now and many things for him were at stake. The moment was quiet as he stared off into the distance, watching the waves move calmly, something he wished he had in this lifetime. He felt more alone and out of place but at least in the Omatikaya clan he had Lo’ak and Kiri who understood him better than anything he could ask for. Things weren’t the same, not anymore and they won’t ever be, his two closest friends had found their homes among the clan. He longed to be able to feel that feeling of acceptance deep in his bones and not just surface level.

He wanted to sink into the feeling of belonging instead of barely coasting along on the waves, he hated feeling like he was constantly floating into a deep dark pit of nothing. The feelings of self hate for something he couldn’t control ate at his insides, tearing him up until he wished he was anything but a human stuck here on Pandora due to unfortunate events.

Anything, everything, yet nothing he wanted to be able to pray to the great mother and her hear his cries of help. He had learned the ways of the people from the moment he could walk, now at the age of twenty-two things made about as much sense now as they did back then. He had unlimited questions with no answers in sight, so he sat here staring into the vastness of the ocean tearing himself down from the inside out because his frustrations weigh heavy on his mind there was no stopping it. To him there was no end in sight, he was doomed to suffer in the silence through the days and nights.
