I Should Go

@nevarrantorte / nevarrantorte.tumblr.com

Nicole, 28. She/her. I like video games, especially Mass Effect and Dragon age.

I've seen a bunch of posts about sparring so I thought I'd make another one of my unrequested what if I want to write Antiva as if it was Italian posts.

Today's topic: INSULTS/SWEARWORDS/PROFANITIES

Like all other times, disclaimer. I'm not claiming Antiva as Italian, but I am Italian and I'm not comfortable about writing about other cultures, so this is just some silly writing reference for those who might need it.

I am also not responsible for how you use these, I'm just teaching you swearwords over the internet, if you offend someone with this that's your own fault, lol.

Let's go!

Thinking about fenris again

And I still think the wildest thing to me is how openly in love with hawke he is during the breakup period while refusing to discuss it with hawke.

Like, no, I'm not gonna discuss if we can ever be together or why exactly I left beyond what I already said or what I want us to be.

But I will wear your favor that makes it clear to our entire friend group that we're a thing, even if we're not technically a thing right now

I will declare that "I am yours" proudly in front of everyone if you so much as look at me

I will tell Anders plainly, in front of you, that leaving you was the hardest thing I've had to do which is saying something- no I will not discuss that with you, don't ask.

I will get notably jealous if you flirt with the crow or qunari assassin in front of me, even if we haven't resolved this

No, I'm not making puppy dog eyes but also I really love following you every where, thank you for inviting me to deal with your generational trauma and to help that one assassin- also did you know elves fuck, felt the need to mention that, remember we fuck.

Dude, really is like "we cannot have a relationship, I am not capable of handling it, I am not capable of giving you what you need or deserve- also I'm in love with you, don't look at me, but don't leave or look at anyone else- thanks"

My favorite War Table missions are the ones where Josephine and Leliana are playing 6D chess on some side quest and Cullen’s input is just: “what the fuck? no. i’m not getting involved in this. can we go back to work.”

with her kidnapping Varric and being a big reason Cadash sticks around long enough to become the leader of the Inquisition, do you think Cassandra gets, like, a reputation. For throwing dwarves at something most dwarves should have NO business fucking with and hoping for the best. Does she become some sort of meme among the Carta, does signing up for Chantry related jobs become known as Pentaghasting among them. Would it even go away if she becomes Divine or the second she finds herself struggling with some overly-complicated ornamental robe or something like that she hears Leliana whispering some shit like Shall I go abduct a dwarf from their home for Most Holy

I will never be over the idea of Neve and Davrin clinging so desperately to the illusion of being friends with benefits and failing miserably.

Late-night work sessions over a case in Minrathous, papers and takeout containers spread across the table. Neve leans against the back of Davrin's chair and points something out over his shoulder. When she goes back to pacing, Rana just laughs at the way Davrin's eyes follow her all around the room.

Neve goes to Arlathan—to visit Bel, of course—and Bellara takes copious mental notes watching Neve's gaze get soft when she sees Davrin roughhousing with the griffons and laughing on the other side of their campfire.

The way the word of even minor injuries sends them dashing through eluvians. The way they both have nightmares about the blight and the wordless comfort of an embrace from someone who understands. The way the children of Docktown hug Assan. The way Mila decides she's going to be a detective someday.

The way they dance at Rook's wedding, forgetting for a moment that anyone else is in the room.

The gentle teasing from Lucanis. The knowing looks from Emmrich. The outright calls of bullshit from Taash.

Just two self-made heroes driven to protect the vulnerable learning how to be vulnerable themselves. Just a little.

"It goes beyond dread. It can't be reasoned with or soothed over. It comes without warning, in the dead of night, in sunlit streets. A raw, strangling fear, struck somewhere deep past the heart." A study\redraw of "Death and the Maiden" by Marianne Stokes

DATV writes: We’re gonna have this super progressive organisation established by a gay man and a transgender woman. We’ll also have this other transgender character who is also a member of this organisation. Taash is gonna talk to these characters. We’ll make sure we mention multiple times that Taash talked to Shadow Dragons and not just general Tevinter citizens. Players can easily deduce not everyone in Tevinter is like the members of this progressive organisation and there are multiple perspectives.

Some dipshit while tagging their posts with critical: But if Inquisition said all people in Tevinter are conservative, how can people from Tevinter be nice to Taash about transgender issues? 🤔

Like, damn, maybe cultures aren’t monoliths? Maybe a country can have systemic issues while still containing a variety of perspectives? Maybe the writing team actively accounted for this by introducing a faction that explicitly contradicts sweeping generalizations? But no, let’s ignore all that and pretend Inquisition permanently defines an entire nation with zero room for complexity.
