I just want to thank everyone who read Green. I started writing this story because I couldn’t get Neve Gallus out of my brain, and I figured a fic would flush it from my system (spoiler alert: it didn’t). What started as an outline for a relatively short fic, however, quickly turned into 32 chapters and 155k words.
Anyways, I’m so grateful for every reader, commenter and kudos-gifter. Your encouragement helped me finish the fic despite my ADHD fighting me every step of the way.
For everyone who really enjoyed the story: this isn’t the last I’ll be writing about Erelis ‘Rook’ de Riva and Neve. There are a million ideas still bouncing around my brain. I’ll also be finishing a few AUs (Western AU and Modern Roommate AU), as well as introducing a human Rook.

🍀 Has Rook had any near-death experiences? What went through their mind during what they thought was going to be their final moments?
🌹For Neve and Luci, I think they had an argument about Luci's almost self-destructive commitment to being the Protector. How she would keep putting herself in dangerous situations so that her team wouldn't be the one getting hurt. Neve hated that, especially with her fears of losing her Trouble, but Luci needs to be the one keeping everyone else safe. They resolved it by Luci allowing Neve to take care of herself more, putting less pressure on Luci.
🍀I'll answer this one with Lethe cause I don't want to spoil an upcoming fic for Luci. Lethe, as a half undead person always has one foot in the grave. When Hezenkoss used their lantern, it had a profound effect on them as an undead, almost killing them. In that moment, they were scared of all the things they still had left to do, all the fights left unfinished. They were also scared of leaving Bellara alone, since she had just lost Cyrian a second time.
