gods I need to make a pinned post... uhhhh this is a pinned post. I'll probably edit it to add stuff in the future.

anyway convenient source images for the speech bubbles I use are here. I also sometimes contribute to the Compendium of Non-Weapon Held Objects, aka the XIV prop list. in addition, you can find modpacks of most of the tweaks and mashups and other stuff I put together and use over here, though please bear in mind most of them haven't really been properly cleaned up or tested and are provided entirely as-is as a resource for those interested. I'll try to keep it up to date as best I remember to, but if something is missing or outdated do let me know.

How much time do you headcanon has passed for your WoL from ARR to now?

#i usually go with loosely approximating one year per expansion#long enough for time to pass#short enough to handwave away some things not changing#loose enough to be stretched and shuffled as necessary#of course then i decided to break all of that in half for dawntrail#somehow introducing an 8-ish year old little Matoya#despite kea and y'shtola only having been together since shadowbringers#and the twins still being adolescent teenagers#my excuse is that matoya is super cute#just embrace the emotional truth and dont think too hard on the particulars#think of it like level syncing but with time#some events sync down to a specific point in time#everything else exists in some kind of loose possibility space#multiple different times and timelines and AUs all coexisting

mutual told me people might actually be interested in the extremely basic edit to expand vanilla bare feet to also work for male talls so now I'm looking into possibly first making the sole meshes less shit

also idk maybe release the naked vanilla body for female talls? I dunno how many people are interested in just sticking to the base body instead of going with any of the replacers

has this always looked like this? this looks wrong, right?

it's like there are fog effects missing? and it's only the coerthas central highlands during snow; it's fine in coerthas west and it was fine after the weather changed to fog.

i want to submit a bug report but i want to make sure i'm not imagining the problem first.

okay so I can't speak for how it used to look but it does look like there's something missing with the daytime central coerthas skybox on both clouds and snow weather effects:

the other weather sets don't have the issue

I hopped around a few other zones to compare and none of the others seemed to have that strange sharp contrast between a cloudy sky, a greyed out world geometry, and the skybox suddenly turning very dark below the horizon. Likewise, the night time skyboxes for central coerthas look fine, so I feel like it's relatively safe to say that this isn't how it's intended to look - whether it's due to a bug or some kind of oversight, might be someone just didn't realize how high up you can fly in central coerthas? - I couldn't say, but it looks off enough to my eyes to say it's worth reporting.

MiqoMarch Day 15: Fortune

Upon our return to Tuliyollal we made our way to where we suspected Kirui might be toiling away. Wachumeqimeqii was abuzz with activity I don't remember seeing when we first arrived. She was easy enough to find, though, as she seemed to be one of only a small number of Au Ra around. When we found her stall down towards the docks she was finalizing an order of raw materials. This was odd since she would usually gather them herself, though the pile of half-finished goods would point to the fact that she simply didn't have the time, and was clearly making more than she did even in Ul'dah. She was delighted to see us, as she so often is, and hurried over to a chest she had kept hidden towards the back. Beaming, she brought it out and opened it for us to see. Within were full new set of armor for each of us, custom made by Kirui herself. She told us she still had a few upgrades in mind, but that these should keep us safe for a while yet. Excited ourselves, we donned them then and there. She loves it when we show off her work, so we struck an impromptu pose for her! When she started rambling on about the materials with that big smile I realized these must have cost a small fortune to make, but I knew she would never accept payment from us. This is how she shows her love, and the best way for her to feel that love back is to wear her creations proudly, which we shall gladly do!
There is one concern, though: where did Statice head off to? I thought she had said she would do a little exploring and head back here, but Kirui said she hadn't been back. I know she can take care of herself just fine, but it does worry me. She doesn't usually stay gone this long, but this is a new place with new people, and I would never want to stifle her curiosity. Besides, she was only so rambunctious due to her boredom back when I first found her, so I doubt she's out there causing trouble. Hopefully we'll reunite soon.
