The kings row character’s favourite musicals:
Nicholas: The Book of Mormon. (I am, ofc, talking about when he’s a little older). I feel like he’d watch Southpark and find it a complete riot, then he’d go see the Book of Mormon and be like “this is a masterpiece”. He plays Book of Mormon songs in the shower (he never gets to see Seiji’s face when he hears the lyrics to Hasa Diga Eebowai) Nicholas is also 100% a musical enthusiast
Seiji: Hades town. I can’t explain this other than vibes, I think he’d think the set is gorgeous and I think the music is his vibe. I can imagine him mumbling “when the chips are down” on the bus on the way to a fencing match (he asked Jesse to go with him but Jesse rolled his eyes at him) (he takes Nicholas worries he won’t like it but Nicholas is VIBING) plus I fully believe he likes mythology (not as much as fencing but still)
Harvard: Wicked. I think he likes a fantasy world and he likes the way it connects with the Wizard of Oz. He definitely cried at the film (that he saw with Aiden who told him that’s lame) and he got him and Aiden matching Elphaba and Glinda socks (aiden took the glinda ones) he also 100% listens to dancing through life on repeat on the coach to fencing matches.
Aiden: Heathers, again this is purely due to vibes. I think he’d like the film (he watched it with Harvard) and he saw the musical and was like “whoa”. The plot just screams Aiden to me, it’s set in a highschool but it’s darker yk? This is probably controversial because it should be mean girls but I think Heathers has all the things that would make Mean Girls Aiden-y but also has JD and murder and I think he’d just like that more (plus you KNOW he loves the song my dead gay son) (again, he also takes Nicholas and Nicholas fucking LOVES it)
Bobby: Shrek the musical. Fight with the wall. I was convinced it’d be a romantic musical and something like Disney but I think Shrek the musical is romantic and funny and I think Bobby would ADORE it. He 100% listens to the playlist on repeat
Dante: I feel like something like Les Miserables. He likes a serious musical, not a super fun or romantic or anything. I just feel like Les Miserables is very Dante (I haven’t seen it so I may be wrong here). However, if asked, this man says Shrek the Musical.
