Hi I'm Leafy! They/he/xe Ace and demiromantic A minor so don't be weird pls

Hi!

I’m your host Leafy! A neurodivergent divergent nerd. I’m here to talk, write and maybe, possibly, someday, post art. I mostly kinda shitpost abt references but I plan to do some /srs stuff too.

My main fandoms are:

-The Mechanisms(a band pls go listen to them I need more ppl to yap too)

-the mcu (particularly the shows)

-Poppy Playtime

-Rottmnt

-the dragon prince

-toh

-gravity falls

And as quite a few others, if it’s niche or nerdy I probably have at least dabbled in it. I am easily convinced to consume new media so if you have any recommendations feel free to tell me!

Additionally, I am new to tumblr so if I break any unspoken rules lmk! pls call me out if I miss spell anything! I may have dyslexia.

Thank you for your time, you’ve been a wonderful audience!

I, uh, finished the Iliad

here are some notes in no particular order.

Erm, what? They come back from a mission and go swimming then take a bath together, but platonically? I don’t think so.

I counted, Helen was the face that launched 1187 ships.

The drama is dramaing… also Diomedes is my favorite character 100%

Nooo, don’t compare ppl to gods that means they’ll die :(

Achilles, calm down girl, it’s literally been like 12 days

Fuck, when did this get so sad, I literally cried.

Hephaestus is my comfort character

The BBC Sherlock Holmes is ace.

At least somewhere on the spectrum, (I personally hc Demisexual but I’ll get to that later). Ever since the original novels by Arthur Conan Doyle came out in late Victorian England people have been speculating that the funny autistic-coded man wasn’t as straight as he seems (not that he seems straight). This was mostly due to his interesting relationship with John Watson, and modern adaptations have (in the eyes of the viewers) just gotten gayer.

things to do when ur bored:)

Recently I’ve found myself at home with joint pain so here are some things you can do with minimal leaving your bed.

  1. Learn calligraphy
  2. attempt to create some digital art
  3. Teach yourself to write with your non dominant hand
  4. learn some basic asl
  5. create a collage using an old book
  6. Start on that political thing you’ve been meaning to do
  7. research plants to grow
  8. write a bad fan fic that will never see the light of day
  9. learn to darn clothes
  10. knit or embroider or crochet or something

The end :)

“my child just slammed a door in my face, teenage angst is real”

no? Hormones can play a part in how emotions are felt but if your child doesn’t know how to express those emotions that’s your fault. If a child is slamming a door in your face instead of expressing their emotions in a productive way it’s not because they’re a teenager it’s because they’re afraid of using their words in fear of being in trouble. And it’s something that’s almost expected of them in our society so in their eyes it is more productive (and also safer) than talking.

Hello Dear Viewers,

Welcome to Monsters And Mommy Issues, a text based talk show about fandoms. I’m your host Leafy, with you tonight, and most every night to entertain you. This is my first big tumblr project so please be patient if there are some…technical difficulties. This page was created as a cleaner version of my previous blog, but that one quickly became nonsense. This blog will have actual segments, and planed releases dates, and consistency! I hope you have as much fun as I will on this ride. Thank you for your viewership,

-Leafy

Today I went out into the real world

And the thing that unsettled me wasn’t the bizarre flavor of gum I bought at an Asian market or the other people (ew) there. It was the fact that the whole time I was walking around desperately searching for a dairy free dessert for my cousin I had this thing staring me down

Peter Lukas!?!? What are you doing at cub?!?
