Aspiring illustrator yet to make it in the world. I love animation and children's literature. My favorites are Lewis Carroll's Alice, Rupert Bear, most things Disney, and L. Frank Baum's Oz. If you want to ask about commissions, email me nonsensologyart(at) gmail.com

That's alright! I'm really touched to have made quite a positive impression! I hope you'll stick around! ^_^

Later at the wish granting ceremony, CEO Magnifico announces heโ€™s greenlit Ice Age 6 and five more live-action remakes.

There are so many cancelled and unrealized projects that Disney is sitting on, that they do not benefit from in any way by keeping them locked up tight. They really ought to just let them go if they don't have any intentions of doing anything with them.

Incidentally, I could never agree with the mentality of โ€œMagnifico is actually the hero, and Asha is the TRUE villainโ€ that a lot of people seem to have. I drew my comic based on this post. I feel like if more people had been aware of this possible interpretation, they wouldnโ€™t have sympathized with Magnifico.

I hope everyone had a great summer! I myself was busy with summer reading and visiting libraries. To get back into art, I drew the boys having their own summer reading fun. I thought it would be cool to have them both reading Oz books; Lumpy is reading the original Wonderful Wizard of Oz (aimed at children), while Flippy is reading Was by Geoff Ryman, an adult re-examination of Oz (I've owned a copy I found secondhand for a couple years now and finally got around to reading it).ย

I didn't love Was as much as I wanted to, but I still thought it was fascinating to read, even if it does end on a bittersweet, if not outright depressing, note. Also, I personally think Was is more engaging to read than Gregory Maguire's Wicked. That said, I am still looking forward to seeing the movie version of Wicked later this year. (I can't wait for the full version of their cover of Defying Gravity to be released.)

Also, I almost forgot that it's currently Banned Books Week (September 22-28, 2024). Here's a (not-so) fun fact, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz has been banned at various times since its publication for a variety of silly reasons, including but not limited to: being โ€œuntrue to lifeโ€, depicting women in strong leadership roles, and promoting "godless supernaturalism". Anyway, this is your friendly recommendation to read more banned books.

For every person that's ever hurt you, Lumpy wishes for you someone that will bring a smile to your face. For every moment you've ever considered giving up, Lumpy wishes for you a reason to believe in yourself. For every dark and stormy day, Lumpy wishes for you a shining rainbow to brighten your sky.

In another reality, not only would Wish have closer resembled its original concepts, it would have also been integrated into one of my favorite nighttime shows at the best Disney park in the world. (Seriously, not only does the show have a wish theme, it's also performed in the park's entrance port Mediterranean Harbor, and Wish takes place IN the Mediterranean. It would have been a perfect fit! *sad sigh* We could have had it all.)

I used to not be a HUGE fan of Lumpy but GOD the way you interpret him!! Slow and oblivious, but having a huge heart and the sweetest smile! Like, you really turned me into a Lumpy Loaf Lover!

Aaaaw, thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoy! ^_^

I totally forgot this was my inbox, but seeing this again reminded me of a doodle I haven't shared here yet. So here's a little Lumpy to cheer everyone up when you're feeling down!
