I filed my restraining order today. I am so afraid of the decision. I won’t find out til early next week so I need to find a way to keep my brain busy

This was a year ago. After a 5 months court case I wasn’t given the restraining order due to logistics.

So I wrote a bill and next Wednesday my bill eliminating the logistics issue is being signed into law.

We’ve come a long way my friends. There is further to go, but we’ve come a long way.

Helloooo if we had each other on IG or are mutuals (or want to be!) please add me on IG again! I had to remake mine 😭 it’s @nvzeehah

TW: sexual assault

One year ago today, I was sexually assaulted. In the months following, I was denied both a police report and restraining order due to residency status. Today I’m rewriting our laws - and I’m asking for your support.

Sign the petition urging lawmakers to introduce and pass the bill granting 25 million survivors the civil right to a restraining order and police report regardless of the state they live in. When laws protecting survivors are weak, laws protecting perpetrators are strong.

Let’s make protection borderless.

Note: you don’t have the donate! If you choose to, the money goes to change.org to help promote the petition.
