For the last time, Amanda Overton has confirmed on Twitter sky is a zaunite. Idk how many more times are we gonna have to go through that.

I feel like that’s a big thing to have on a side character because from what we know from the actual show it makes much more sense if she simply was not from zuan. Breaking a rule in the universe for a side character, and the breaking never being explained is bad writing. Even if it was confirmed sky was from zuan it is still a bad writing decision and would have been best to leave it out entirely. And things confirmed outside of the show are not as important as what is shown. I believe it’s more up to if someone wants to take what is said outside of the show seriously or strictly what is in the show.

Death of an author applies to cases of character intentions, not facts of demographic and everything about sky young is bad writing because she is not a side character as her impact on the events is rivaled by viktor himself. Jayce, Viktor and Sky are a symbiosis. There is not universe where they cross paths and do not end the world. Without sky young there is no machine herald. Without sky young there is no commune. Without sky young there is no viktor past s1. Furthermore, by the same logic it is just as easier to assume she made up a last name when she entered the Academy. All the context around their scene as children also points towards sky being a zaunite. She plays in the poluted rivers of Zaun wearing scraps. We also know she is from zaun because Claggor and Mylo are her pupils in the AU as indicated by HER flowers. There are so many contextual clues. People simply are far too focused on Viktor and have missed every single thing we know about Sky.

Sky will usually let Viktor and Jayce work in the lab overnight but she knows they're seriously sleep deprived when she comes back in the morning and sees this kind of shit.
