Welcome! Since I see I’m getting a few non book reading followers, my tags are;

Wot, wheel of time - general wheel of time tags

wot on prime -general tv show tag

Wot Book Spoilers - anything the show hasn’t covered yet from the books

Wot Prime Spoilers - anything new from tv show

Character tags are just their first names; Nynaeve, Mat, Rand, etc.

NEW FOLLOWERS WHO HAVENT READ THE BOOKS! Please don’t scroll too far down on my blog! There WILL be serious spoilers!! I will try my best to keep everything appropriately tagged but I can’t promise my past posts to be spoiler free!

I am so in love with the type of fantasy the Wheel of time chooses to be.

Perrin wins by sparing the bad guy's life; Loial sacrifices himself not by fighting but by destroying his people's work; those not fighting are essential for saving lives and preserving the Two Rivers' legacy (in a stunning parallel to the Fall of Manetheren where the past lived on because some people didn't fight but fled to carry on life in the Two Rivers.)

Warriors and armies are important but those who made the difference here are the ones who pointedly didn't fight.

This gives me so much hope for the boys' and Lan's later arcs because it seems the show is leaning more into strength not being raw power and existing in different shapes.

so you've got your twelve least favorite coworkers who you would dearly like to see die. fast forward three thousand years of extradimensional prison and you're in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where the only people you know are still your twelve least favorite coworkers. half of them are career academics.

and only one of you can be the universe's next top model.

I would like to once more formally rescind any complaints I made previously about the give Perrin an s1 wife choice he’s absolutely the most emotionally grounded and mature of the boys of course he would have got married off in this small town at age 20.

And as I thought they would, they’re also using her death as a way to make his overprotectiveness towards Faile in the books make more sense than just being a factor of how RJ’s male characters often have an obsessive need to protect women.

STOP saying Moiraine is Rand's mother. That woman hasn't got a single nurturing, maternal bone in her body, and I like her that way. Moiraine is Rand's absentee legal guardian who was reluctantly forced to take custody due to the will.
