hey, hi, hello~

if you're wondering why i'd dropped off the face of the earth... i've been in hospital

what i thought was just a bad cough turned into a lovely case of pneumonia, which then turned into hospitalisation on my birthday (worse birthday gift ever thank you body)

turns out you shouldn't avoid ringing the doctor for antibiotics because you end up getting worse and seeing more doctors than you planned...

i probs caught the initial cough/chest infection either from yucky customers at work, or from the hospital while visiting my grandad

i'm out of hospital now, but i'm still tired so i'm just chilling in bed either reading or watching twitch streams/anime and occasionally scrolling through tumblr

so yeah, i've not stopped being interested in epic or writing the friends in higher places au, i've literally not been able to haha (those i did get the nurses to listen to the musical so i call that a win)

but yeah, as soon as i feel strong enough to, i will be writing more parts ! also to reply to all the stuff i've not had the chance to reply to!

how i imagine poseidon (who i believe can feel when people invoke not only his name but the ocean as well) reacted to hearing antinous plotting to kill telemachus and dump his body (parts) in the ocean

*up on olympus in apollo's infirmary*

poseidon: *recovering and enjoying peace after athena had left a day ago*

poseidon: *to himself* ahh finally some peac-

poseidon: *feels someone invoking the ocean*

poseidon: *focusing on who's saying it* who on gaia is...is that coming from ithaca...

poseidon: wait- ITHACA?!?

poseidon: *fully focuses now*

antinous: *in the ithacan palace*

antinous: cut him down into tiny pieces...

poseidon: *listening in full now* cut wh-

antinous: ...when the crown wonders where the prince is-

poseidon: the prince? yoU MEAN ODYSSEUS' SON?

antinous: only the ocean and i will know!

poseidon: *in full panic mode* OCEAN?!

poseidon: *now attempting to get out of bed in panic* HADES NO, I AM NOT INVOLVED WITH THIS I-

apollo: *coming to check on his uncle after hearing him shout*

apollo: uncle wh- *sees poseidon attempting to get out of bed*

apollo: *hurrying over to get him back in bed*

hey, hi, hello~

i just wanted to log on quickly to say think you for the kind messages on my last post! my grandad is getting better, but it looks like he'll be stuck in the hospital over christmas/new years

i just wanted to come on to say a happy christmas/happy holidays to you guys!

i will be watching the ithaca saga livestream (well hopefully if things work out) but i probs won't post any of my thoughts on it straightaway (it's being christmas and also going to see my grandad in hospital)

as for the 'friends in higher places?' au....

there's still not gonna be anything posted anytime soon i'm afraid (sorry)

but don't worry i am still writing the next part(s) and chapter (or at least making notes on my phone)

but with christmas, my birthday, new years, work and visiting my grandad... that now won't be until the new year

my plan is that when i actually have time to write it, i hope to have a (few) parts uploaded across a few days as to make up for no posts/updates for a few weeks

(poseidon & odysseus might have survived the dinner, but will athena and penelope survive odysseus' revenge for the seating plan ????)

anyways again i just wanna say thank you for the love you guys show this silly au

okay enough yapping from me

i don't like making posts like this, but i thought i'd just give you guys an update over my lack of activity/au updates over the past day

my grandad became very ill yesterday, so my family and i have been focusing on him as you would expect.

so going forward when i'm not at work, i'm now gonna be at my granddad's helping look after him, which means i'm hardly going to be at home.

which also means writing anything for the 'friends in higher places?' au is on a (temporary) pause as i don't have the ability to focus on it currently.

when things are more settled and my grandad gets better i'll be able to focus more on other things.

so i'm sorry if you were looking forward to chapter 2 of the fanfic, and part 9 of the dinner series/scene. they will eventually come, but i can't say when at the moment.

me: *wondering why i've hardly received any tumblr notifs*

so i am working on chapter 2

but i'm also in a deep dive of google searches, on how ancient greek boat/ships and how sailing/piloting them worked... i don't think i need to go into massive detail... but i also don't think i can not mention sailing things (y'know with odysseus and telemachus being on a sailing trip and all hdshdshdsh)
