Remake of this 2023 edit... anyway i don't like it more. i couldn't figure out past me's issue with making the text pop more on the colored versions, so i made it black and white and now i think i hate it more. thinking i might not make it a manip edit next time (bc there will be a next time until i'm satisfied, goddammit)

Ivory Frost has spent her whole life wasting away on the Isle of the Lost, trying to survive the daily wrath of her overbearing mother. However, she longs for something more-a life beyond this hell. Her hope wanes with each day that goes by. Ivy sees her opportunity for a better life when Prince Ben permits three villain children to leave the Isle and begin attending the esteemed boarding school in Auradon in hopes of starting over. However, she has other plans. They have nothing to do with attending school or even locating the Fairy Godmother's wand. Ivy is looking for her father.
chapter zero - prologue
“I wish to remain free; that is true. But...for you, I would risk imprisonment.” "I understand," grinned Irma. Lucian retreated a step as she got up from the chair. “But I can’t let you do that.” Lucian's gentle expression turned to rage again as he narrowed his eyes. He took another step back, not wanting to be betrayed. “Wicked woman! What is your plan?” Her small frame almost glided across the ice floor as Irma approached him. He did not flee or defend himself in spite of his rage and resentment. He leaned into her palm as she gently placed it on the side of his cheek, closing his eyes to prolong the illusion. "This is where our journey comes to an end." Before Lucian could say anything more, she withdrew her hand, and a swarm of snowbees surrounded him. Bewildered, he looked around. He begged, "Do not do this," astonished at how much this woman had softened him. As the nefarious little creatures turned his limbs to ice, the snowbees started to envelop him. “We will meet again, Irma. Our journey is far from over. She will not be kept away from me.”
It's funny how a single quest can turn three campers at odds with one another into the most supportive triangle of friendship the camp has ever seen.

When Steve found Seren in the morning, she was working on her new suit. It had become a little custom since they moved into the Tower. Seren either worked on the suit herself or sometimes had Tony around for consultation. Steve began to wonder if she was really working on it for the sake of working or if it was just to distract herself. He supposed it was the same as when he visited the training room.
"Did you even bother to sleep?" Steve asked despite already knowing the answer. They had laid together the previous night for some sleep but a couple hours later he woke up to find Seren gone.
"Course I did," Seren said much too quickly and she knew it. "I mean, for a bit…" She swiped left and right on the holographic plans of her suit. "No, actually, I didn't," she admitted a second later. "I'm sorry, I just couldn't. I was hoping Chloe would call or at least text me." But she hadn't done any of that.
"You just have to give her time," Steve said. He sounded like a broken record. Seren was just too kind to tell him that.
"At least if I get this suit finished, then I'll be able to start scouting areas for the scepter with Stark."
"Seren…"
"I'm good Steve," Seren assured him. "All I need right now is a hug...or two...or three…"
A fair request. Steve took the necessary strides to get to Seren quickly and hugged her. Seren was tired but every problem they had prevented her from realizing it until now.
"You want to take a nap?" Steve offered.
"Maybe," Seren nodded. "I did get something through with my suit this morning. I've added a touch of color. I always hated the sheer black suits of S.H.I.E.L.D. I felt like they never suited me like it did for Maria and Natasha."
Steve let out a low laugh. He swayed Seren a bit. "I thought you looked amazing in them."

The sun had yet to rise when Bucky reached the city docks. The only sounds were the crashing waves. Even then, Bucky was cautious as he made his way to the designated dock. Even with the security of the scheduled time and the solitary location, Bucky couldn't let his guard down.
He waited and would wait until the sun rose. If it rose then it meant Chloe had gotten to her contact and the deal was off. He supposed it was selfish to still take this contact's help without Chloe but it was worth a try. Now he just had to hope that this person would be willing to help him once they realized he purposely left Chloe behind. The wait was agonizingly slow. The sun would almost start peeking and then he would have to—
Heeled boots made a noise a behind him.
Bucky turned immediately, hands raising enough to pose for retaliation.
Slowly, a woman with long, curly dark brown hair that seemed to struggle to stay on one side of her shoulders, appeared across Bucky. She was light skinned with dark brown eyes and she was dressed in casual clothing but one enough to allow for subtlety — she was easy to miss in a crowd.
Her lips curved into a small smile after her eyes did a quick scan of the place, and of Bucky. "I believe you are the friend of a friend?" She spoke with a slight Spanish accent.
Hispanic. Tall. Seemingly fit. Bucky was observing and drawing conclusions in case this went south and he had to fight her. He wasn't nervous about fighting her, only the attention that it would draw.
The woman didn't wait for his response. She seemed to expect his silence. "Where is Chloe?" She asked, eyes scanning the area again.
