It's astounding that the one actor who loved her character more than anyone else did, the one actor who left her blood/sweat/tears on that set, the one actor who is so in sync with her character enough to bring them to tears is the one actor who doesn't get to continue telling her story. Unpopular opinion/my two cents:

I don't really know how to react to that blog post thing? I mean, don't get me wrong, nothing against Isabel and if she got attacked personally that's clearly awful and it sucks. Some people can't differentiate character and actor but... All the things she mentions were directed at Kathy??? It almost felt a bit unnecessary.

It's been 23 seasons. People have been rooting for Benson and Stabler since '99 and especially since he came back. With the whole thing about the letter of course people are going to be upset. That was a shitty move on Kathy's part. (That clearly doesn't justify personal attacks! But again, nothing was mentioned?)

Like it or not, most people -myself included- didn't like her character. The "good morning to everyone except Kathy's ghost" or whatever it was and the mean girls reference are just memes about the show? (Also, they're funny, not offensive, but maybe that's me?)

I was just reading all about this on twitter. I saw a little bit earlier at work but damn, it's gotten completely out of control. Fans have every right to criticize a fictional character and the actor who plays/played them can get offended but jfc, she's gone way too far. Before her little op ed, fans were excited about Elliot confessing his feelings mixed in with some Kathy hate. No biggie. Now, she writes about how her feelings were hurt, tags M and C.....and the White House press secretary (what in the actual f*ck???) and the showrunner is chiming in and blocking people, M and C are forced to tweet about it, articles are being written, anti Bensler fans are talking sh*t about Bensler fans without even attempting to find out if people actually tweeted hate AT Isabel (fyi- they didn't) and it's a completely miserable place to be. Oh, and to top it off, Dick Wolf did an interview and said he doesn't see Bensler being together anytime soon. Yippee👀 I hope her attempt at making it all about her has made her happy. Something that had already started to die down has turned into a complete clusterf*ck, thanks to her.
