Hi everyone!

Recently it's been difficult putting out new content and creating more full pieces of art/ more polished work with college. I know that the wait times for these new pieces are pretty long and I wanted to let you all know that there are now a few easy ways to support me to help me out!

- My patreon is now open! Here, you'll be able to find monthly sketches, exclusive pieces, previews of future posts! It's also just a really awesome way to support me while getting to see the behind-the-scenes!

- My digital commissions are also open! Typically most pieces range from $15- $100 USD but can go higher. I'm also working on getting a more formal commission sheet working. Though until then, please send me a dm or an ask about it! My message boxes are open on pretty much all social media so please don't be afraid to ask me about it!

Currently working on a lot more but until then, thank you! I'll be sure to work hard to create new stuff for you!

SUMMONING ALL ARTISTS

Is VGen a good place for artists to do commissions?

I've been looking into opening mine up a bit more publicly but the problems I'm facing are that there's a lot of scams or bots + currency conversion being an issue + updating my comms sheet is a pain. So far my only issue is getting a code to get in.

I really want to give it a shot but is it worth it?

do you ever see paleolithic art and go “oh fuck that’s good” like they hadn’t developed agriculture or the wheel but god damn could they paint horses real good

look at this pretty accurate horse art. this is from chauvet cave and is between  31,000 to 28,000 years old.

hey there, man. come here, sit down. have a cookie. 🍪

shit's rough right now, and it's probably going to be rough for a while. but there are still days where you can just stand still and feel the sun on your skin and breathe. there are still flowers to smell, and sunsets that will take your breath away, and home-cooked meals, and people who love you and are there for you, even if you haven't met them yet.

remember to drink water, eat if you can, and unclench your jaw. i love you, alright? we're gonna make it through this. together.

I wanted to share this ask because it made me stop, think, have a little cry, and get going again.

There ARE still days where you can feel the sun on your skin and breathe. There ARE still flowers to smell, sunsets that will take your breath away, and home cooked meals. There WILL BE people who love you and are here for you, even if you haven't met them yet.

Everything may be going down the drain right now, and we'll live through the worst of it within this next decade or so... but there's still so much to do in that time. There's still so much to live for. Even if you can't see it now, search for it. Whether it be in the little smiles of those who you care for most, the way the sun shines down through the leaves of a tree, the soft breathing of an animal as it lays on you feeling safe, the smell of homemade food or even crappy fast food at 2 am with your friends... There is more.... and I want to carry this message forward and remind everyone of that like it reminded me.

Thank you to everyone who sent me kind messages over the past couple of days! I feel a lot better knowing that it's not all completely hopeless (even though it can feel that way)

In thanks, I'll share this poorly drawn fish stamp I tried to make for class, as it's all I've been really able to draw for the past while.

She knows not of war and toil, nor of evil, for she simply is fish

I know this is incredibly out of character for me- (and for that I'm sorry)- but could y'all send me your sfw art, some good news, or maybe even pet pictures? You can send them in my asks so you can be anonymous if you'd like. I'm not really going to share them anyways.

I've found out the hard way that as important as it is to stay informed- especially when you're living through rather scary world events- it gets really tiring and easy to get burnt out.

Feeling a lifetime's worth of stress nearly every week or even just every time I see the news is not healthy and makes it even harder to make art or come up with ideas. Especially because I'm a broke college student and am watching everyone in my community and those I care about fear for their lives right now.

Not to get too into it but I'm very stressed and very tired and social media is becoming less of a safe space for me and it'd just be really nice to see some good in the world right now.

Sorry again, and thank you <3

I think some people forget that some literature and some media is meant to be deeply uncomfortable and unsettling. It's meant to make you have a very visceral reaction to it. If you genuinely can't handle these stories then you are under no obligation to consume them but acting as if they have no purpose or as if people don't have a right to tell these stories, stories that often relate to the darkest or most disturbing parts of life, then you should do some introspection.
