The fact that mukuro is 15 is wild I thought he was like 25 with how he's in fucking prison

I operated under the assumption that Bianchi was at minimum 20 for most of my youth. Turns out she's 17?!

hold up wait what? i thought that too, why isn't she in school???

Criminal record I guess? Far too dedicated a chef to even think about algebra?

THEY DID NOT SHOW TAKESHI'S ATTEMPT ??

I was giving it the benefit of the doubt because this was years ago but like that's absolutely Destroying his character ??

Like okay sure i might be overreacting but I remember being so shocked at seeing Takeshi up the roof, its a striking moment and when you realise that he attributed his entire personal worth to what people expect him to be and that he thought he was nothing when that got taken away momentarily, it makes you Weep for him and Then you can see his own personal growth of accepting his worth

Im sorry im very emotional about Takeshi even years down TwT

THEY REALLY DIDN'T. isn't that crazy???

like yeah, you've said it all and i totally agree. not showing it to us, not showing us the thought process behind it, not showing us what snaps him out of that mental state absolutely changes the understanding of his character the manga was going for. AND it also undermines his growth going forward, takes weight and meaning away from it. like when he sacrifices his arm to beat ken in the kokuyo arc. like yeah, you still know it is a sacrifice from him for the sake of helping tsuna in the name of their friendship, but you don't know it's a sacrifice in the sense where not too long ago, he was ready to kill himself over a similar injury.

and thinking about it more while i'm typing this, it also undermines his relationship with tsuna and changes both the understanding of their dynamic and of tsuna himself. like if iirc in the anime it's all about how tsuna is this suddenly capable guy who beats moshida in kendo and helps his team win in volleyball, so yams is all like, "haha, fun. let me keep hanging out with you a bit more!" and like. no!!!!!!!! and i mean, yes, that does also play a part in what catches yams' attention about tsuna in the manga, but that's not the point at all.

it was all about how in his pov, tsuna was suddenly making a comeback from rock bottom, while he himself wasn't seeing any way out of his broken arm when he'd always been at the top. it was about how he'd always been at the top, and how scared he was it wouldn't matter anymore at all if he failed at staying there even once. how scared he was he wouldn't be worth anything anymore at all if he failed at staying at the top even once.

it was about how tsuna saw him at his rock bottom and said to him "yes, of course you still have worth even now. you can fail at times, and it won't ever make you any less worth it.". it was about how tsuna saw him at his rock bottom and said to him "this, too, is just another proof of how hard you're always working, and it's so impressive of you. i know this, too, is still you doing your best, and it's enough.".

like? i know you get it so i'll stop rambling now haha but i just. i mean, i do get they couldn't just show his suicide attempt like that, but to erase all of his internal struggles entirely like that?? a complete disservice to his character, to say the least.

thank you for the ask!

reminder that if you back tsuna into a corner he

A) sends you right back into the worst prison for mafia criminals you just escaped from, but even worse than before (enjoy being unconscious and tied up in your one room swimming pool for the next 10 years)

B) freezes you with flames burning so hot they turned into ice (< this isn't how the zero point breakthrough is explained in canon but it's the more dramatic explanation), fully knowing you were already frozen by similar ones for 8 years until, like, a month prior

C) burns you fucking alive and also undoes the last 10 years of your existence across all existing timelines. also he won't think anything about it afterwards ever (?????? like. it's not that he didn't deserve it, to be clear, but damn. 😭😭😭 middle schoolers when you just want to take over the world(s) for a bit, smdh 🙄)

D) is willing to become the boss of the most powerful mafia family in the world with a bloodstained history if it means getting the opportunity to get his hands on you and kill you beat the shit out of you. but you're lucky he likes you so you could stay on very thin ice long enough for both of you to clear things up

E) gangs up against you with all the current and future strongest people in the world, and then punches you so hard he makes you see the light of doing the right thing despite your centuries years old deep rooted hatred which singlehandedly kept you alive as an undead person

also reminder he did all that while he was only 14 years old. this is all things he did in less than a year.

this is tsuna's resume during the course of less than a year of proper mafia business.

so, you know. the next time he goes "i just want my friends and i to be safe and happy and live in peace. 🥺🥺🥺 please don't make me fight you to make it happen? 👉🏽👈🏽🥺👉🏽👈🏽🥺👉🏽👈🏽🥺"

just maybe, consider listening to him

my favorite oddity of khr is that when lambo uses the 10 year bazooka they call him "adult lambo" but like regular lambo is 5 so "adult lambo" is only 15 but then i remember tsuna is like 13 so i guess 15 would be "adult" to him

Fanart for the Genghis Khan music video by Miike Snow :)) only 7 years late

It's funny going back and forth between criminal minds and supernatural because sometimes I forget which one I'm watching and I'm like ah this guy is totally possessed by a demon but actually he's just a serial killer or I'm like woah this guy is messed up in the brain but he's actually a werewolf

I rewatch Hitman Reborn at the same time every year, and this year I realized I had been keeping up with the tradition for. 11 years straight. I haven't missed a year since I was in middle school. I'm about to graduate college.

It's also the reason I'm obsessed with the color orange but that's beside the point.

I've been replaying Fallout 4 on survival, and I just keep thinking about how absolutely wild the game is from Father's perspective, considering he's watching you the whole time.

Like Father's dying. He's spent his entire life working towards what he considers his goal of 'fixing the Commonwealth, etc.' but now he's dying and he just kinda wants to see what happens. He's expecting you to pop out of the vault and last a few days, a week or two at most, before the Commonwealth chews you up and spits you back out. Instead, you wake up, go take out a bunch of raiders, a full on deathclaw, start up a settlement that thrives under your guidance, go liberate a bunch of other settlements - basically you start amassing an army and you've been awake for like what- two weeks? Three weeks?

Then you set off towards Diamond City, and Father's thinking 'ok, Boston proper is WAY more dangerous than the northern parts of the Commonwealth. There's Raiders and Gunners and Super Mutants and ferals. Surely you're going to struggle slightly. But nope, off you go to Diamond City, marching in, asking for tips on your son, and leaving to rescue the synth prototype detective. Oh, and of course you walk out of that practically unscathed.

Then you kill Kellogg. You just walk in, kill him, take a part of his brain.

Father watches on in fascination and maybe some slight horror.

Then the Brotherhood show up - depending on how you play, you join them and start climbing the ranks. You're the General of the every growing Minutemen. You start working with the people that are freeing synths. Oh and what's that? You're friends with the Cabbots? And the Mayor of Goodneighbor travels with you? Oh and sometimes you LARP as the silver shroud but that's just some weird little side note.

Like no wonder Father names you director of the Institute after he dies, my man releases you and then you practically take over the Commonwealth, the thing the institute had been trying to do for like... Ever. They're literally replacing people in power to have a fraction of control and you waltz in, fresh as a pansy, and take over.

Father watches your life like some YouTube highlights compilation and is like huh.

Had a dream in where Tsuna (KHR) and Izuku (BnHA) were dating but apparently didn’t know about each other’s careers because dream was Aizawa standing in front of Izuku and Ochako like

“We have captured one of the most wanted criminals in the world” and he opened the door to the interrogation room and Izuku just stood there dumbfounded like “That’s my fucking boyfriend!!”

And Tsuna just “Oh for fucks sake you are a hero?!?!!”

And I can’t stop thinking about the fact of how do you date a mafioso/hero without knowing???? I need this trainwreck as a fic now.

I’m not even into BnHA yet here I am.

THE PHYSICS (SORTA) OF TSUNA'S X-BURNER

Ah, yes. Hi! I'm a bored Physics teacher in her break time and I have nothing better to do so I might as well do this. Lol.

I am only going to discuss few Physics concepts that are easy to understand.

1. Why is there a NEED to use soft flames behind him?

Tsuna uses his soft flames as support. Without the soft flames behind him, he'd be thrown in different places because his body mass is significantly lower therefore insufficient to handle the force and acceleration of his flames. This is an application of the second law of motion (law of acceleration) where the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to forces exerted WHILE the mass is inversely proportional to both.

1. The lower the mass, the higher the acceleration; and vice versa. Objects with large mass require large force, and vice versa. 2. The higher the acceleration, the higher the force exerted; the lower the acceleration, the lower the force exerted.

The reason why he fails the first time in using his X-BURNER is due to his low mass that is not proportional to the force of his flames. This was also shown when he was having a hard time controlling his flames when TYL!Hibari was training him. He addressed this by distributing the flames: soft flames behind him, and hard flames in front. Once these two different types of flames are distributed, Tsuna was able to create a push and pull attraction between two forces. Balance is achieved and now Tsuna can control the direction of flames without being propelled in various directions.

2. How is he not propelled forward when he uses his soft flames?

Note that it is classified as soft flames because it has less force (less force means less acceleration). Now we have to consider that as he starts using his soft flames on one hand, he also starts accumulating flames (heat) on the other. Simply put, although his hard flames are not visibly used, we already know that it's still there even before he fires it. Going back to one of our first concept, a push and pull attraction between forces are created thus Tsuna is not propelled forward because of this balance.

3. What is the difference in concepts between his flying and the X-BURNER?

When he's flying, there is no need to distinguish between soft and hard flames. He positions his hands opposite the direction of where he needs to go and propels himself using the flame's force. His flames whenever he's flying are literally just being used for propulsion. The methods he uses are similar to Xanxus' methods. The only difference is that he uses his gloved hands while Xanxus uses a gun. (idea is similar to planes and spaceships taking off)

On the other hand, whenever he uses his X-BURNER, Tsuna needs to distinguish the soft flames to his right hand and the hard flames to his left. Tsuna just literally separates the soft and hard flames to achieve what is discussed in 1 and 2 for his X-BURNER.

4. How can Spanner's invention (X-Contacts) help Tsuna in achieving greater results?

The contacts and headphones allow Tsuna to better control and adjust his direction, his line of target, and his flame output. Going back to our first concept: force and acceleration are directly proportional. The values for both force and acceleration are not the same but since it's proportional, a balanced system can still be achieved. Spanner's main idea for creating the contacts is to have Tsuna achieve the maximum level of X-BURNER by creating a balanced system. This balanced system is achieved when Tsuna's flame output (the source of force and acceleration) for both hands is proportion.

Spanner was the first to realize that Tsuna's X-BURNER utilizes the flames as a vector. This is evident in the way Spanner designed the contacts by showing a grid (akin to the Cartesian plane). Meaning, as shown in the contacts, Tsuna can easily identify whether the variables (the flame output) for each hand are proportion. Even if the flame outputs are not proportion (shown before he had the contacts), X-BURNER can still be used BUT it is not maximized. Spanner made the contacts so Tsuna can use his X-BURNER to the fullest.

WHAT PHYSICS CANNOT EXPLAIN:

The use of X-BURNER has no regard for entropy. If the laws of thermodynamics are considered, Tsuna would have still been dead even if the prior concepts are true. Lol.

The reasoning is quite simple: gas molecules expand due to immense heat. The oxygen in the surrounding area will expand, it will be consumed then it will be lost.

Supposedly.

If this happens, Tsuna will lose oxygen due to the pressure from his own flames. The gas in his body will be used up. He will be crushed because of intense heat and pressure.

BUT THIS DO NOT HAPPEN.

And the only explanations I could think of are: 1. it's fiction; and 2. it adheres to anime logic. And that is fine!

That would be all, folks. Thank you for coming. Feel free to correct or add something because I've been awake for 14 hours straight and it's not doing anything good with my brain. I'm not even sure what compelled me to do this. I could've taken a nap instead of writing this but sometimes, we just have to make silly decisions.

P.s. I also wrote something akin to this last year about Lambo. Haha. It's one of my fave posts ever.
