i think for me, i wish for more consistent characterization for daphne. i know that historically, she just becomes whatever the show/movie needs her to be (the swing from WNSD girlboss to SDMI damsel in distress was nasty work if im being honest), but in later media she's portrayed to be the emotional anchor of the gang. daphne being the heart of mystery inc is something i really like, and i wish that the portrayals were also consistent with her physical capabilities and talents. i think the BCSD iteration has the best balance between emotional anchor + talented and capable daphne ;w;
Is there anything that you would love to see the Scooby-Doo gang crossover with?

What series you love you wish was able to finish? There's quite a few series I love but unfortunately wasn't given a satisfactory conclusion, either a shortened season that had to speed through a lot and left us wanting more with the potential it had or just a season finale that opened it up for something great and we just never got it.

hmm the first thing that comes to my mind is Promised Neverland. i always felt like both the manga and the anime adaptation badly need revisiting, especially with how they both concluded (the anime's finale specifically-- who could forget...). the premise of human children as livestock and the underlying mystery of the farms is interesting and i found the characters endearing, but they really dropped the ball past goldy pond in the manga, and well, the anime peaked in the first season and went downhill after (what a weird decision to not include a key adult character when they arrived at the shelter--)

I remember seeing some self insert OC you made that had an office setting kinda vibe. Seeing how much you're into Severance now, do you feel part of the reason is because you feel an understanding with the characters working an office job?
i think you're talking about my sona? yeah, my sona and handle are influenced by my feelings and criticisms about office and work culture. i started this account when i was experiencing occupational burnout, which also led me to rediscovering my love for scooby doo (practically ran out of things to watch until i saw that SDMI was on netflix, so i thought "why not rewatch" and then here i am 😭). the head of my sona is made up of fumes-- which is an obvious visual reference to burn out. my handle alludes to feelings of not wanting to go to work, where i felt that i'm not cut out for an office job, yet i have to be there if i want some form of stability outside of work.
severance really struck a chord with me in terms of the relationship of our work-selves and home-selves, where i did find myself in some situations where i deeply resented work, and i wished that my work-self was separate from my home-self. it's so i can do the things i want without having to worry about the things i needed to do, because my work-self is doing it for me. the show has since gone beyond criticisms of work-life imbalance in modern society, but i will never forget how that was the initial hook for me to watch this show.
