I have so many thoughts about this movie but no way to coherently express it. This movie was about family and moving on and grief. But it was also about letting go and not trying to force yourself to live up to others expectations. This movie was so beautiful and yet it was so heartwarming and moving. The tears didn't start to fall until I got in the car and realized what I had just sat through for the last 2 hours.

Ansi is fairly romance repulsed when it comes to receiving (Shhhh don't look at my past posts gorgeous. But in all seriousness hugs and Hobie's whale flops are her few exceptions.)

Kisses from Hobie are out. (Yet he can't go without kissing Hobie on his face at least 5 times a day.)

Ansi will glare at Hobie if he grabs her hand and there isn't an emergency. Eye contact that isn't her glaring makes her nauseous.

Don't buy her flowers. (She occasionally puts together bouquets from flowers she's stolen from rich people's lawns for Hobie.) But gifts are fine.

He will cuddle on any flat surface with Hobie and if anyone says anything about it he'll burn them.

Compliments from Hobie are her life line. He comes up with a lot of different creative ones too and it makes Ansi weak in the knees.

Hobie not only doesn't know what the fuck a "social media" is but doesn't want to know. Ever. Margot tries to explain recent celebrity dating gossip? He plugs his ears. Gwen tries to explain Goncharov? No thanks. Every time someone utters the word "Tiktok" while in his flat they have to put money in a jar.
