hallo :) i wanted to know what reference you used for your anya fanart because i love love love religious iconography and art and i looove the virgin mary as a character :(

ohhh i hope you see this :(

Hi!! I hope it's not too late. My ask section is overtaken by bots so it's hard to find genuine questions. Anyways, the references. For this specific artwork I didn't use any paintings as a base. I believe I've only used one photo reference to capture the pose and that's basically it. I've been trying to replicate the look and feel of religious paintings for a while now, so at this point its like muscle memory. I'm sorry if my anwser is underwhelming. Although, I'm really happy that I've managed to capture the vibe! I'll try to find the photo reference that I've used.

Could I use some of your art as a ref for my barber? I'm planning on getting a shag like Anya's and yours perfectly captures what I want for myself.

Sure! That's the best question I've ever gotten about my art ngl I didn't expect this at all

if its okay may i ask what brushes and program you use? i absolutely love the look and style of your art

Sure! I use procreate for all my art and sometimes I do additional editing in artstudio pro. I mostly use standard procreate brushes (eaglehawk and nikko rull are my favorites), i just mix and match them until i get the needed result. I do use some custom brushes, but to be quite honest I'm not sure where I got them??

To achieve the painterly look I play a lot with sharpness and I try to blend not by using the smudge tool, but by layering tones on top of each other. It leaves the edges kinda messy, which helps a lot in this case. It's a time consuming process, but also gives you more control over the texture.

Also thank you so much :^33 I'm so excited to anwser my first question here on Tumblr hjejejejjeje

You can't begin to imagine how insanely happy I am to receive this!!

This fantastic interpretation of Anya from Mouthwashing by @ooohladymaria is now on my walls and I couldn't be happier.

Thank you again so much for trusting me with your piece. 💕

Oh my GOD????

No jokes, I shed a tear, which might be pathetic, BUT HEY HOW OFTEN DO PEOPLE PRINT MY ART??

I'm genuinely so so so SO grateful, this is the best thing that ever happened to me. The fact that you considered my art worthy of being in your home is the greatest privilege an artist could experience. Thank you so much for this.

Another silly text post for a change

I am so beyond grateful for all the attention people have given me over these past few days. I know that success on social media is a combination of luck and following trends, but I still can't believe that three of my post have gotten this much love. Especially the Anya one. I've read through every single comment and analysis and I've never felt so seen and heard, especially when it comes to my art.

I've never been taken seriously as an artist. And now I start to believe that I am, In fact, good at art. Good to a point, where people actually feel something, when they look at my paintings.

I am, once again, extremely grateful and open to conversations. I REALLY need some art friends.

Also I've opened up an ask section here if you'd like to learn anything about me, my art or my creative process! Feel free to ask. I love to talk as you might have noticed.

Just saw my "The kiss of Judas" artwork being used in a Jimmy × Curly ship edit, which is really upsetting to say the least.

I'm so conflicted right now. I'm extremely grateful for all the attention, but seeing my art being interpreted in such a horrible sadistic way makes me sick.

A gentle reminder that it's not in fact a ship art and kisses are not always romantic.
