I’m sorry but the more I look at the new ghoul outfits I like them less and less. Nobody asked, but I want to share my specific irks.
So, for one, the one I’m most unhappy about, their horns. Please give them back man, they’ve had em for over a decade at this point let them be silly
Two, the shoes. I’m sorry (I’m not) but PLEASE can we not just do the skeleton feet slippers??? Give them boots or spats or SOMETHING
Three, the suit jackets are sleeveless. Why. I get that you wanna show off the cool bedazzled skeleton thing, but you’re doing too much and they look like the main Green Bay packer in the riff off during pitch perfect 2.
Four, the hats. They’re just slightly big enough to where they look big and cartoony and dumb and I feel bad about it because I love my ghoulies
Five, the girls. Their bat wings are cool, I get that it’s going off of the capes last era, but mixed with the skin tight bodysuit? I dunno man.
I will however give credit where credit is due, however, there are some aspects I like.
I’m so happy that they’re unmuzzled once more (probably) because I want to see the tongues 🔥🔥 let em free
I’m also a fan of the metal collar, I think it’s a really cool design choice
And even though they’re not my favorite thing, I enjoy the habits, they make it lean more into the church thing. And the tailcoats. I really like having the tailcoats back.
Overall my opinion is that they’re leaning a little too hard into the positive reaction to the skeleton dancers and it feels kind of gimmicky. I still love the band, the hyperfixation isn’t going anywhere, I just had thoughts I couldn’t keep to myself.
