I’m currently seeking out a social media mod(s) for @ophazines .
Your responsibilities would be handling the social media, queuing posts, responding to emails, advertising in zines discords, and things related to that. There are a lot of factors that will go into who I choose as social media mod so it may take a while for me to choose (˃̣̣̥ᯅ˂̣̣̥)

A lot of you have followed this blog for a Very long time due to the nature of Tumblr and have interacted with me or other mods, even if you haven’t been apart of the zine directly. You know how zines release, how I make announcements, the kind of zines we make, etc etc even if you aren’t familiar with me directly. You may also be familiar with contributors or be friends with them. This is something that brings me comfort as well. That is to say I’m not naive and know that some of you disagree with how I run things and dislike me personally for various reasons, but that’s alright too. I hope that even if you dislike me now, if you do apply and get on the team, we can become friends!
I will provide additional information for those who aren’t familiar with me, Mala, or for people who have only interacted have only interacted with me briefly.
The moderation team is basically 5 mods, with 3 very active moderators who are active throughout the process and two mods who do things at very specific times. Our workload was admittedly not perfectly distributed due to me in my previous state overworking myself and not worrying about consequences and then I’d request that another moderator handle a task that I’d previously handle without giving them the proper details on how to handle this task which leads to mistakes in the process.
While this process was fine before the current zine, ophazines is a bit larger than it was two years ago, and also my physical and mental health has declined significantly which has resulted in me not being able to do things consistently and when I am able to do tasks, I’m often in pain and not thinking clearly. Typos in emails, queuing the wrong things, just plain doing things incorrectly, etc etc. The writing admittedly was on the wall quite some time ago, but I kind of just expected myself to get better haha.
While most zines reach out in zine communities or make publicly available moderator applications, ophazines has never done this due to it being created among my friends and all of us having project management experience prior. The other reason is because, I, Mala, head mod, have a lot of problems that make communicating with others difficult for me. The other mods are also various flavors of neurodivergent or some kind of minority. It makes things scary you see as communications with people online can be a bit unpredictable for various reasons- whether it be a fault on my or their end.
That is to say, l tried to be very upfront with why we run the way we do and why we are seeking out new moderators after having the same team for years, you are free to ask me questions via my discord (ophanimkei) or via DMs on my art tumblr @ophanimkei or other social media. You’re free to provide any additional information in the application that I don’t ask for as well
All of the mods will be apart of the selection process for choosing a new moderator, but I recommend reaching out to me directly with questions. You’re free to do what you like however! I also do hope this is comprehensible as I currently have a migraine haha and posting this makes me rather anxious.
