putting my older zines on are.na so anyone can have access to them. newer zines will go up on my patreon first, then after some time (like a month or 2) they'll be added to the are.na channel.

not that anyone asked me in particular, but since theres worry about tumblrs lifespan, i think itd be cool if people made zines of their favorite posts and such. Even if things end up all good, you could have a little book of your favorite ones for when you're bored or cant get online or something. Just a random idea :]

3 pages of my latest zine ✨In Defense of Slawn✨ ft similar multidisciplinary British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare and (Ghanaian) Nigeria based El Anatsui. Of course featuring songs/song lyrics and book references.

(Sort of a follow up my Neostrange Fruit zines because I’m taking an Art of Africa+ class and my (very European/Eurocentric) professor and the class itself is awful 🙃. It’s been hellish. I elaborate a bit in the zine so I’ll leave it at that.)

First ever zine that I made in 10 minutes including writing the poem using a sharpie and construction paper. It's about the messiness of beginnings

Ah yes, every queer person is legally required to make this zine at some point. I had the creative juices flowing while playing D&D but had to do something that wouldn’t require too much thought.

Now I’m just hoping someone buys my fiancé and I the printer we want off our wedding registry so that I can start scanning more stuff in👀🙏

This is the first zine I’ve ever made and I am absolutely giddy! From conceptualization to completion it took a little less than 24 hours. My fantastic mod Pugsley came up with the original idea and members of my Discord server contributed the lovely art. We’ve already got Volume 2 in the works and who knows, we might do more than that too.
