Yaz has insomnia where she really struggles to fall asleep even if she’s tired

New colors: about being bored in life and wanting to do new things/thought to be impossible things. I feel like she’d relate

Pretty little things: the song represents a woman not accepting things like flowers because men generally take that as a sign you’ll do what they want, eventually getting proved right (more or less). I don’t think that relates back to yaz but I do think she’d like the song

Daydreamer: literally about feeling like you’re falling behind in life and wanting to take every possible path you can, and I think yaz would relate so much

The diving bell: about being willing to cause yourself harm because you love someone so much. The metaphor used is drowning but I’m sure running to a giant deadly laser to save your wife bestie works just as well

As a lesbian I enjoy watching lesbian/sapphic movies and WHY ARE ALL OF THEM SAD?! Recently I’ve watched… 4? Give or take? And only 2 had an ending where the main couple ended up happy.

One just killed one of them women, one made the main character miserable at the end. Like I know that’s about 50% but they were all advertised as romance movies! The whole point of romance is the main couple ends up happy together

Also why is there so many period dramas? Why are sapphic women only allowed to exist in times where women didn’t have rights (admittedly, the 4 I watched aren’t but it’s specifically bc I refuse to watch period dramas)

I’m tired of sapphics/lesbians not getting happy endings. Gimme recs for happy stories plz
