Just remembered I used to own a soft toy Orinoco Womble.

He looked just like this and he was my favourite womble because of his cool hat.

I have loved cool hats ever since.

That feeling when your body is requesting something but you're not sure what so you just start eating and drinking random stuff to try and figure it out

Me, eating a chocolate waffle at 7pm: Is this what you desire, oh prison of flesh?

I need a Thank u Mr Terry tag

This is why I often say that “unfiltered” isn’t “more authentic” because filters are part of what make up a person, in much the way that you don’t get a better photo of a mountain by strip-mining it first.

image id: a snippet of the Discworld book Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett that reads;

"You'd have done the same," said Lily.

"No," said Granny. "I'd have thought the same, but I wouldn't have done it."

"What difference does that make, deep down?"

"You mean you don't know?"said Nanny Ogg.

end id.

things to ask yourself at the end of each chapter and/or scene:

  • what do we learn about the characters in this chapter/scene?
  • how does what we learn tie into the plot?
  • what sort of feelings does this scene/chapter induce?
  • what is the point of this scene/chapter? (it doesn’t have to be a big point, but there must be some point)

“Don’t infantilize autism” should be used when people who aren’t autistic treat autistic adults like children.

It should not be said when people who are actually autistic have “childish” interests or stuffed animals and such. Autistic adults are allowed to find comfort and express their autism in ways that works for them (without causing harm), even other autistic people don’t get to tell them not to enjoy those things just because they dislike stereotypes or don’t want themselves to be infantilized.

You can’t tell someone else their life should be breaking a stereotype you dislike. That’s not up to you.

i saw a license plate this morning that said ‘drgn slr’ which probably means ‘dragon slayer’ but ‘dragon slur’ is funnier. dragon faggot. draggot if you will.

Snippet/Seven Sentence Sunday

Thanks for tagging me @oh-no-another-idea and @faeriecinna! Time is fake okay <3

Finlay leapt off the dragon's back, his exhilaration ready to spill from his lips, and was immediately grabbed into a crushing hug. Startled, he gently wrapped his arms about Edwin's back and held him close. 'I thought you'd lost control,' Edwin said. 'I thought it had malfunctioned, or...' 'I'm alright,' Finlay said softly. 'I'm sorry; it was a stupid thing to do. But it was such fun up there, I just wanted you to share in it.' He shouldn't have dived at Edwin like that. He had been so worried to let Finlay fly at all. It had seemed a jest up there in the sky, with the dragon in such perfect control; but to Edwin, it must have been harrowing. Edwin drew back, tugging down his sleeves, fidgeting with his cuffs. 'What was it like?' he asked, and Finlay told him everything.

I'll tag (for whichever one you prefer!) @jamieanovels, @owlsandwich, @dogmomwrites, and open tag as always!

old dude at the vet has been venting to the receptionist at minimum the whole time i've been here (14 minutes) about both his adult daughter with grandkids and adult son cutting him off and going no contact "all of a sudden" "for no reason" and she seems to be completely buying it and comforting him and i'm sitting here like doubt.webp

it's already extremely unlikely for one adult child to be cutting you off for no reason, but both your kids unanimously? dude you're hitler
