It's really funny how Marc Platt's (*had to Google his name too) flop son blames the movie's failure on "politics", because a 23 year old woman let her stance be known on brutal ethnic cleansing, but he never even had a thought for the politics of Gal Gadot supporting Israel's methods and generally being an out-of-touch, insensitive, pro-capitalist "peacemaker". We already know how it goes, but it's real funny that politics gets brought up as something negative in relation to people like Zegler, while right leaning people want "everybody to just get along" when stuff actually matters and they let their stance for evilness slip out (not solely talking about "The Evil Queen," herself here, but man what an accidental play on words).
Everyone talks about how Snow White shouldn’t be played by a woman of color because she’s “white as snow” but no one talks about how a story saying a character is the most beautiful in the land because her skin is white and then literally naming her after her white skin is kinda weird and outdated.
you ever wake up and feel like reality is slightly… off?
bruh, I barely wake up and ever feel like reality is on
Bastille was right. How am I gonna be an optimist about this. Also right about eh eho eho.
Please never forget that ēheu, what the background chorus is repeating in Pompeii, just means ‘alas’ or ‘oh no’ or perhaps ‘shucks’ in Latin, which is of course the correct response to realizing you’re right next to where a volcano is exploding.
When 2 of my faves on different soaps meet & hook up.
Elite's Ivan spent some time in South Africa in S4 of Blood & Water and had fun with Puleng. 💋 🥂 🪷 🌺
(I enjoyed it for what it was, a fun fling that was mostly unproblematic and angsty especially compared to their other romantic relationships. They didn't try to make it more than it was considering Ivan's limited time at Parkhurst but they definitely found something special and appreciated in each other. Good chem too.)
Obviously there’s a lot to hate about the concept of rebooting shows in general but one thing I really hate is that it feels like every single one is about “passing the torch to a new generation” and as such the protagonists from the original have kids now that they’re teaching about stuff and just like. My hot take is that not all of these characters should have kids. Not everyone wants kids and I’d just love to see a beloved character from my childhood grow up and just like. Still be chillin. Maybe they haven’t achieved the “married, kids, white picket fence” thing because that’s just not how their life went. Idk maybe that’s aroace of me but it just doesn’t need to happen every time.
I doubt this will get much traction but a Canadian company is trying to build a mine on lake superior in Michigan that could completely destroy and contaminate 21% of the worlds freshwater supply if their proposed dam breaks. Please sign this petition if you're in the US to stop the whole project.
