Paleo Pines is a Dino-befriending & farming sim out NOW on PC, Xbox, Playstation, and Switch !

Welcome, New Ranchers!

Hey! We're Paleo Pines, the dino-themed ranching sim!

If youโ€™ve never heard of Paleo Pines, or know us well and want to introduce us to someone else, youโ€™re in the right place!

Saddle up your favourite dino-steed, this is THE post for all things Paleo Pines. Your adventure awaitsโ€ฆ

[ALT TEXT: Key Art for Paleo Pines: A player character sits atop Lucky, the Parasaurolophus. To their left, rows and rows of tilled soil with lush tomatoes. To their right, a rolling valley. NPCs Mari and Marlo are on either side of the player in the background, waving the player as they explore. In the player's hand is a flute.]

Helloo there! There are indeed physical copies of Paleo Pines for consoles! Depending on your location, there are some shops that carry them physically, or you can find them online on Amazon or other regional online stores! If you privately message with your country again, I can direct you to various websites, or you can check out the 'buy now' section of our website!

Geoscience/anthropology student here again.. todays my first day as a student docent for my local museum, and I couldnโ€™t have been more excited! Definitely going to play some Paleo Pines when I get home to celebrate but seeing such a like minded community cause of your game has really inspired me to keep going with my majors and continue on the path to become a paleontologist! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ

Aw congratulations! We hope it keeps going well for you! ๐Ÿค—

Have you befriended any of the dinos yet? ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿ›  Version 1.5.17 ๐Ÿ›  Howdy Ranchers! There's only one notable fix in version 1.5.17, and we want to extend (and encourage!) a huge thanks to our former Tech Lead, Rob, for taking the time to get this particular bug fixed for us.

  • Fixed dino tracking quests not correctly spawning the dino, which could lead to players getting stuck in place.

As we hope you all know, we're gearing up to launch our Kickstarter soon, and hopefully we'll be able to welcome the full team back then! Thank you all for your patience in this tricky time for the studio, we're not giving up on Paleo Pines yet either. Lots of love, The Paleo Pines Team ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฆ–

I've been playing on a secondary save recently, and I had the realization that a lot of the mainline quests require stockpiling/collecting a wide assortment of items which I might otherwise sell/give away on notice board quests and I was wondering:

would it be possible in a future update to make the storage box tabs somewhat customizable, so that we can have a tab specifically for these quests so I know what I absolutely DO NOT want to get rid of on accident?

(also if somebody thinks that certain tabs should be in different orders based on their usage of them, making more commonly used categories easier to access)

Thanks for the suggestion! I've added it onto our list of player suggestions :D

I read on the fandom wiki that there were a handful of species cut before release, specifically sauropods like diplodocus - would you be open to talking about the decision to cut these species?

This game has held a very near and dear place in my heart since I discovered it (to the point of making entire spreadsheets to document my progress and plans across multiple save files!) and I just wanted to express my love and appreciation for both the game and the team behind it.

Sorry this took us so long to answer; it's a good question and we wanted to make sure we took our time with it (and then our ask box disappeared ๐Ÿ‘€)

But the short answer is, they were never actually in the game! We have some basic models that our wonderful artists built, and concept art, but they unfortunately didn't make it beyond concept due to time and budget restraints.

We did however have the sarcosuchus partly animated, so we were able to use the money raised from our early plushie sales to finish the last bits of work to get them into the game after launch as the sarco was a lot closer to game-ready than the rest! We're hoping to do more with our upcoming Kickstarter but on a larger scale, so keep an eye out for that!

Thank you so much for your love and appreciation, we really do have some of the most wonderful people in our community ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฆ–
