Alice Draws

@pdalicedraws / pdalicedraws.tumblr.com

I draw a lot of cartoon stuff, which is weird when the rest of my aesthetic tends toward the gothy and Victorian. I have fun and crave validation. This is prodigaldaughteralice's art blog.

Have you watched demon slayer? (I’d love to see the characters in ur style!)

I have not! And unfortunately, most of what I know about it is that gal I keep seeing drawn and cosplayed who has a bamboo stick as a bit, and even though I know there’s a plot reason for it “human being with a bit in at all times” squicks me out so hard. Sorry, it’s just not for me u_u;;;;

I’m flattered you’d want to see anything in my style though thank you 😭

Waiting for Shiki.

It’s funny, I’ve actually been more inspired than I’ve been in ages to draw Implicit Bits out of NTWEWY… and I loved it, it was a great game, but the original was transcendent and I want to be drawing things from that too but keep not thinking of anything.

But! I haven’t replayed TWEWY since I was on my DS like a decade ago, which means I’ve never played Final Remix… I think once I 100% NTWEWY I’m gonna indulge myself and play the original over again <3

feels weird throwing a question out into the void like this but what dpi do y’all work at?

I’ve mostly been at 300 which is the default in Procreate for a screen size image but I’ve been getting more and more annoyed with the low resolution I work at/wanting to be able to get more detail… should I just start using a much bigger canvas? idk man I’m like 90% self taught and am curious what other people do

if anybody had recs for print on demand services I’d love to hear that too

And with that, we’re gonna be on hiatus for a little bit— hopefully only about a month— as I gear up for the final arc of this story.

(it’s pretty long, we’re not right bumping up on the end, but still. Life’s being a little crazy and I’ve got to take a breath.)

fellas is it a date if a total stranger who knows you intimately but also understands nothing makes you give him a tour of your hometown while asking you vague philosophical questions before giving you a single opportunity for a hand up out of your depressive crisis but you have to take responsibility on your own shoulders the fear of which is your primary character flaw
