Sometimes I write fic and put it on AO3 or Tumblr. Very occasionally, I vid. I also do things with embroidery floss or cloth.

  • Change your fucking Harry Potter URL and remove the Hogwarts House nonsense from your bio if you're not a TE/RF apologist; it's 2024 for fuck's sake.
  • There’s no such thing as a pro-shipper. It’s like being gender critical. The neo-puritan mindset is a straight-up pipeline to TERFism, authoritarianism, and white supremacy.
  • Listen to Old Gods of Appalachia. You'll learn a lot more about an under- and misrepresented region from this than Vance's hillbilly drag. It's also one of the finest fiction podcasts going today and storytellers have much to learn from and enjoy in it.
  • Don’t forget to love each other. That includes harm mitigation, calling people on their bullshit, and listening to people when they call you on yours.

Welcome to INV-2025-PCCP (Investigation 2025: Plagiarism Clean-up Credit Project)!

Atticus (piratecaptains/piratecaptainscaptainpirates) has been found to plagiarize other people’s work, either rewording things in an attempt to avoid detection, stealing entire lines from other people’s works or copying exact plot beats and ideas with minimal creative transformation. Our aim here is to look at his work, find the original works he stole from and give credit back to the original authors.

If you have a lead or suspect your work was plagiarized

Send us an email at inv2025pccp@gmail.com with the subject Fic Lead. In the body, include the title/link of Atticus's work on AO3 and the title and link to your own/original work. Please also include your Tumblr or Bluesky username.
