Hey you all know about that fungus that possesses ants to make them climb on the tip of grass blades in hopes of getting eaten by a cow, so that the fungus can continue its life cycle in the cow's guts? Because I think that's the kind of thing that's wrong with cave divers.

We don't know what's down there. We don't know what's gotten into their heads that makes them so determined to physically, personally go down there to find out. But I wouldn't entirely dismiss the possibility that whatever has gotten into them is very invested in getting eaten by whatever is down there.

I reblogged a post before, but this is that game where you play as a courier rider in 14th century Mongolia! It looks so cool, I highly encourage you to watch the trailer on their kickstarter. It looks like they've brought on a lot of people who are really passionate about the project.

The Kickstarter campaign has about 24 hours to go, and they are pretty close to unlocking the second to last stretch goal, which adds fishing to the game! And then of course at 500k we get falconry. If you are at all interested I highly recommend supporting the kickstarter, for about $40 you get a copy of the game when it comes out, some kickstarter exclusive game resources, and access to the game during alpha playtest and early access.

I think next week they have a late backers extension to the campaign, but the prices will be a bit higher, so if you are kinda thinking about supporting do it today!!

Here is that video I was talking about! It seems like this game has some really cool and interesting features. A couple of my favorites are:

1. The horse breeding mechanics are built around actual horse genetics, so each horse will have coded genes for, say, their coat color, and so when you breed them they get recombined and you get a realistic reflection of what genetics are at play.

2. Wind seems like it is going to be a major mechanic in this game. It has survival game elements, so you have to be careful of things like where you are standing relative to the wind if you are hunting, if the animals can smell you, and a strong wind might make you have to adjust your aim while doing archery, etc.

But seriously, check it out!
