This man holds so much trauma. He's lived for centuries upon centuries and has seen so much and lived through hell. The poor man has loved and lost countless lovers, friends, and others. He has no family and will outlive Kate and Mark, literally everyone. It feels like no one thinks about how traumatized he must be after seeing his entire team brutally murdered? He lost war woman— someone he's known for years and could relate to (weren't they lovers too?)
But the thing I love most about this wonderful man isn't just his super sad and traumatic mind. NAH, it's that damn undying fire within him that keeps driving him to always jump head first into every fight. He's always there, ready to throw hands. He's literally the indomitable human spirit in a nutshell. He loses every fight, but he still comes back.
He's such a sad and deep character, but everyone just sees him as "thick stupid man that keeps losing"
If there are alternative universes in the canon, then my art and headcanon are partly canon because they take place in one of a trillion universes. I'm kidding. But I really wanted to make MarkRex that are a little crazy, but happy and in love.
Here, Rex is a bit of a pyromaniac and a little more cheeky because of his childhood experiences in the laboratory. And Mark, well, something in the long chain of events has been changed, and now he's not such a kind hero (although he's still a normal guy). And these two idiots are hopelessly in love. And I'm in love with them, let me be in love with them, they're such cute idiots. They're having fun, blowing up useless trash, and Mark is carrying Rex around in the night sky. I just want to cry. Can I cry? They're such cute idiots.
